i'd prefer something which entertains me yet is not OTT....it sure needs have some "real" touch to it (else how will the audience relate after all) but reality need not be grim always...also, IMO we have enough of real stresses to deal with day in and day out...so when we switch on the television at the end of the day, it better bring some respite

long story short....what we see needs to be fresh, nicely handled, relatable and "very very" appealing
