Don't abuse the pen
Vikram Bhatt

Hello all, writing this column has become like making a movie, everyone has an opinion on how I should write, what I should write and so I am happy! People are reading it at the least. How utterly sad it would be to find the comments column empty. Also, I don't have a clue what pseudo gyaan is! Please enlighten me Nitya and I shall try my best to spread the gyaan or avoid it as the case may be.

Now I am told that the chat module will be operational from next week so the gyaan can be had live on chat and we can also pull each others hair in cyber space.

All in all this is the greatest invention for human interaction. Imagine a life without communication like the internet! Where would we muse collectively?

Power of the pen
Talk about the power of the pen and you realize that in the age of media-induced perceptions the pen is mightier that a nuclear missile. Very powerful and like they say absolute power corrupts absolutely.

There is nothing more dangerous than a friend-turned-foe or a scribe turned vengeful and I saw that in action a few days back in a city newspaper. There was an article that asked the question if Rani Mukherjee had painted herself in a corner, if her career was over and the film Dil Bole Hadippa was like the last nail in her coffin. It also mentioned that Rani Mukherjee was paying the price of working only with Yash Raj Films.

Now this is my case against the analysis. Firstly, I am talking about a newspaper supplement that does more reporting than anything else and so it was really odd to find that analytical piece. Everyone has flops. Preitiy Zinta is not even seen in any big film anymore,so why Rani is being singled out? And it's her choice who she works with -- and does it mean that if you work with different banners you will have hits?

Hritihk Roshan worked with every big banner including a film that I did and still flopped in all until he came back with Koi Mil Gaya. So, are we not in a hurry to write an obituary?

Why this sabotage?
The oddest thing was that this article was printed on Wednesday morning which means that it went to press on Tuesday which means that they had the figures of the film till only Monday and the fact is that Friday to Monday the collections were really good, and I know this because I have my own distribution office. Also Monday was Eid and a holiday,so the collections maintained.

Inference, the piece was plainly vengeful. Some irate journo who was refused an interview or the friend of some competative actress. Result, you sabotage someone's career and flop a producer's film. Tch! Tch! Tch! Very very bad!

The solution is that we need stronger libel laws or we will be ruled by the corrupt penster! There is no safety against the rumour. There is no suing the man who has spread the wrong perception about you.

Character assasination is assasination and why is the assassin roaming the streets a free man?

I totally agree with him.
And he totally makes it clear that media has been conspiring against DBH.He clearly says that the film did really good business and he is one of the most known and reputed person of bollywood.I dunt see why he would make false statements.
DBH has been doing well right from the start but its just the media who has been such retards.
Thank you vikram! Atleast there is someone who isn't afraid to voice their opinions and speak the truth.

India has no anti-libel laws?

No wonder the media gets away with everything as if they are gods.
