Hello Readers!

I am Aarti Verma, the beautiful charming princess born in wrong family. I can't recollect when my parents passed away. Must be 10/12 years by now. After them my brother brought me up. So what! I am his younger sister. It was his duty. Anybody would have done that in his place. Nothing new.

He is married & works in a bank as some loan officer. He has been working there for five years but yet to get a promotion. What's wrong with him? His wife, my bhabhi is Vidya. She belongs to a rich family & I am still bemused what did she find in my brother that she left her palace to stay in this 2BHK Flat. She is pretty but not as graceful as I am. They have a son called Abhi. He is cute. I hope he doesn't emulate his father.

Hey folks! You know my brother also have a love child. Her name is Antara & she is unhinged. I insisted my brother once to get rid of her & he almost agreed. But what happened to my bhabhi, she permitted my brother to keep her. My brother works hard for her as she is suffering some kind of lunacy called Autism. Huh…What a fancy name people have for simple word like madness. I once tried to cure her & took her to a Baba. My brother was furious but I am not careless like him. I know this insanity can only be cured by supernatural powers. No therapy can treat them.

Earlier my Bhabhi kept distance from her, but to my surprise that smutty fiend mellowed her down. Even my nephew loves her more than me.

Hey….Sorry .I forgot to introduce my beau. His name is Sameer & works in the same bank where my brother works. He is tall, handsome & perfect match for me. He idolizes my brother despite knowing his tracks. God save him.

I am in cloud nine these days. Why shouldn't I be? I am getting married to my prince charming. I did a lot of shopping & my brother some how managed a decent marriage hall for me. House is filled with guest these days & I have also invited few of my friends. I am the show stopper of the crowd & normally spend time these days attending my self in front of mirror. Being the bahu of the house, my bhabhi does all the household duties besides taking care of guest. I know she has conceived, but duty first.

I don't want that illegitimate brat to attend my auspicious ceremony & even convinced both my brother & Bhabhi, but I don't know what is wrong with Sameer. He is hell-bent to bring her. I am bit frightened these days for my future in-laws. I just want to get married & get rid of this cumbersome family.

Hey readers…What would you have done in my place??

Loved your post!!
No one could've described Aarti better! I would actually love to get that tart in place for behaving the way she is, unceremoniously pressurizing her brother and sister-in-law!

Excellent!

I think Aarti is a pretty accurate portrayal of a bridezilla. Everyone is just a prop in the great drama of her shaadi, so if Aditya and Vidya actually have to attend to the kids, she gets bored.

They also indulge her too much, though. Instead of telling her to at least sit with the kids while they cook the meals, they are forced to cart Antara around even while doing food prep. How tiring. And Vidya is pregnant, but lugging around a kid who is no longer a toddler. That is a recipe for pregnancy complications.

from Aarti's pov
Until vidya came into his life and later Abhi and then Antra, Adi and Aarti were all each other had., ok so my brother got married, no biggie bhabi is nice and thier son is soo cute, already I feel distance from Adi Bhaiyya as he has his own family now, i cant even turn elsewhere as they are all the family i have. But now Antra comes and takes what little attention that I used to get from bhaiyya the ONLY PERSON WHO I REMEMBER Having a blood relationship with and still do, yeah he's doing a lot for my wedding but Im his sister, isnt that his responsibility? aren't my dreams his dreams as well? if not bhaiyya then who do i turn to for my dreams? Sam? he wont understand wat a girl wants, or dreams of ? as for now all i know is that my wedding is swiftly approaching and amongst all the obstacles I COULD control are antra and her presence or absence at my wedding, yeah there is somthing wrong with her and i want her to stop ailing but that will take longer then my shaadi, these are the crucial moments where I can fulfill ALL my heart's desires and forge a rishta with Sam's parents, afterall they will be mine soon won't they? How do i explain to them what autism is? I dont understand much of it myself. Sam isnt so understanding as he knows his parents, but can he feel my aprehenssion as a bride or a new member of the family? Wil lyou understand AKA forum members?

i agree aarti is selfish, but not many people would understand antra's condition & especially in hindi shows where autisim is portrayed so over the top. which makes antra appear to be more mental than autistic.
they both are aware the girl has no understanding or is capable of coping with crowd, but they are hell bent on ghandi gir
every girl has a dream of her wedding & why should she pay for her brother's mistake, i am sorry but that's the truth
they teaching antra everything else hasn't it occured them to draw picture & teach her stop stealing
this is the second time the brat has took the phone & my poor abhi had to pay the price
i have no sympathy for aditya & we all know no woman would go over the top with her hubby's illigimnate daughter,it only happend in the serials
not only is she autistic but illigimate
they say marriage is bonding of 2 families, but here the coming together of families is built on deceit, which can affect aarti's marital life
so yes arti is selfish but her brother is the one who is the culprit
his moment of madness is crearting problems for everyone & now he wants & expects everyone to give him reward, for his stupidity & selfishness
he flaunts the girl like she is a medal of his good deed
this gandhi giri of those selfish adults is causing problems for antra to
they have not stopped to think what they are putting that child through
so yeas arrti is selfish, but she has every right to have the dream wedding every girl wishes for & her selfish brother should realise that instead of flaunting his ghalti
this show started of well now i am beginning to loose interest, i feel vid should still maintain some distance from him
plus he should never forget that apart from his antra there are other people in his family, whose happiness he should consider

Like brother, like sister.
A man who is in a loving, secure, happy marriage with a gorgeous wife who has left a life of security and luxury behind but still goes and have a one-night stand with an old flame from college = the epitome of selfishness and treachery. People like to say that this was a mistake on Adi's part. I beg to differ. A mistake is something like forgetting your wife's birthday.. willingly sleeping and impregnating another woman without even being drunk or incapacitated in any way is not a mistake. It's the worst form of cold-hearted betrayal a man can do to his loved ones. At least, no one else is suffering because of Aarti's unrealistic expectations. But, the whole family is reeling every second of their lives because of Adi. Evey young woman has some mental image of how their wedding would be.. that usually doesn't entail having a stealing drama in your future-inlaws house from your brother's love-child.
Yes, Aarti is selfish. But, what about Adi? He knew how Antara reacts to crowds, strangers and loud noises and that there is a more-than-sanguine chance of Antara having a melt-down in this situation. But, even then he put his expectations of how Antara would behave over that of Aarti's expectation of having a smooth and trouble-free ceremony. Even Vidya had reservations about taking Antara to such a potentailly loaded situation.
Another thing.. what will Adi do when his second child his born. Antara's treatment, paying of his bank loan, costs for a new-born, and we don' t even know whether his bank job is safe after the recent incidents. I just hope he stops having any more children when he is having such a hard time managing the two he has right now.

Well, I actually think Aarti's problem is just immaturity. She is not a child, but wants to be treated like one.

Plus, I don't think Aditya is trying to excuse his behaviour. I think the point is that Antara should not be punished for her father's mistakes. She's just a kid, and doesn't deserve the grown ups flinging their anger on her. If Aarti holds everyone to such high standards, she better be the best sister and wife and DIL ever herself. This I want to see..

Also, I got married when my sisters all had little kids. It is ridiculous to expect everyone to just sit there and admire you as the bride when everyone has so many responsibilities towards their own children. I even babysat my nephews and nieces the night before my wedding so my sisters could see to all the wedding guests. Family is family.
