I loved reading everyone's perspectives on this! Everyone has such good points. I love this forum! 👏
Here's my two cents:
I think this entire situation the family is facing is really complicated and realistic. You can't really pin point one person and blame them I think... Not only is Antara an autistic child but an illegitimate one at that. That gives the Verma's alot to deal with in terms of family, society, etc. I think one of the aspects of the show is reality, and in reality things happen. Good things as well as bad things, and the whole point is that you deal with them and learn from your experiences.
Aarti has pretty much had a perfect life uptil now. She hasn't seen any major troubles in her life. And now suddenly she finds out her brother has an illegitimate child who is also autistic. I'm guessing Aarti is a type of person who always gets along well in society and life is really smooth for her. So naturally she thought her wedding would be just as smooth and awesome. And suddenly she is faced with all these problems in her life and she doesn't quite know how to deal with them. Because she has never been faced with something this complicated in her life before, she doesn't know how to handle the situation and tries to simplify the issue by blaming everything on Antara. It is easier to find one root or source of a problem (in this case Antara) and believe that getting rid of that root will cure the problem. It is much harder to discover the many aspects/layers to a problem and try to solve it slowly.
So basically as Mahika sais, Aarti is too immature, she does not yet know how to deal with complicated situations like these. She could def. learn to be a little less self-centered though. But I guess she's had a really pampered upbringing and has always had her way which makes her so.
I am really excited/interested to see Aarti's character develop in the show as well. I hope Antara touches Aarti's life just as she has Aditya's, Vidya's, Billu's and Abhishek's. Right now obviously all of us feel like phoding Aarti's sir everytime she does something stupid, but I hope Antara teaches Aarti to grow up and become more open minded and caring towards her family. I am sure Sameer will help her with this too.

Hey the character of arti is quite normal. As far as Aditya is concerned, if i were in vidya's place, i would have divorced him. Sleeping with other woman after marriage is something not acceptable normally 4 indian women. Its only that Vidya loves Adi so much that she can forgive his blunders also.

Neither he was under intoxication nor he was forced 2 sleep with Anuradha. It was a blunder n bigger blunder was that he didn't tell Vidya about that incident. So he was completely unfaithful t his beautiful wife.

I beg to disagree that character of Aarti is normal.Aditya's moment of madness proves that he is n't loyal husband, but does that disproves that he didn't perform his parts well as a brother...Yes he did. The point is despite knowing how hard his brother trying to make things back to to square one,she remains firm in her non-cooperation movement.

As far as divorce is concerned,90% cases would have this repercussions.Sleeping with another man is not equally acceptable normally for Indian Men...😉..Being a male..I had to write that line.

What Aditya has done is not mistake....it is a crime.I think a divorce would have been easy punishment for such grievous act. Because it would have acted as a punishment for kids more than parents. Aditya is being penalized by earlier by her wife, sister.Just think of number of added responsibility he has to shoulder for the crime that he committed. But what neutralizes his character somewhat is that instead of bunking his responsibilities,he is facing it...Hey 80 % male would haven't done that....😉

OMG...Whats wrong..Me alone in this female dominated society...😆

Is this society really female dominated? If such is the case, then why even Anupam Ahuja is supporting her husband Shiney Ahuja?Really wmen have soft hearts n they love their husbands immensely n despite that they have 2 face this disloyalty.
Sorry I don't agree with u that divorce would have been a small punishment 4 Adi, infact it would have been the most cruel punishment 4 him.

Reason 1- Losing Vidya without whom he can't live would have been difficult 4 him.

Reason 2- As a single parent, raising the children is a very difficult thing. Vidya would have the support of her parents atleast but Adi would have been alone. n that too when he is a father, raising an autistic girl child alone would have been extremely difficult. There are many basic things which autistic children can't do n when they start growing, challenge becomes more difficult.Practically growing girls face too much hormonal n other physical changes which can be handled by their mothers alone.Such situation might be embarassing 4 fathers.

Anyways this is just a show.Children need both the parents 4 their over all development.
I agree that Adi is agood brother but nt a god husband due to his one-night stand.

I agree to both of your points....but I as far as my point of view is concerned..Divorce would have been the consequence..Not the solution as said by Vidya's mother...Thank you for endorsing my point that he is a good brother....😃
