TV actress Ragini Khanna hospitalised
Mumbai: Apart from their acting skills, Sakshi Tanwar, Shweta Tiwari and Smriti Irani were also in news for falling ill on the sets of their respective soaps due to work-related stress. Now, adding to this list is Ragini Khanna, the lead actor of Bhaskar Bharti. She had to be suddenly hospitalised and shooting of the serial stalled. Doctors feel her abrupt weight loss has led to the situation.
"Initially I had lost 13 kgs because my role in Bhaskar Bharti demanded that. Now, I have lost three more kilos," she says.
Ragini adds, "My blood pressure had dropped but I continued to shoot. One morning when I woke up I was feeling weak and dizzy. My mom took me to a doctor who advised me to take rest. But it was an important day at the shoot and I had to report. The doctor gave me medicines and an injection. Eventually I couldn't report to the shoot. Because of the high dosage I had to spend the day in the hospital."
She says the hectic schedule of the serial has led to her health deterioration. "My role is evolving every day. It is mentally stressful. With recent special episodes, promotional trips, etc work schedules are getting extremely hectic and demanding. But I am trying to cope with it."
