I don't think most people have any objection to NE's votes. It is the rampant multiple voting by the fanatic well organized supporters of Debo that is irksome to others.

NE has taken this up as a cause tantamount to electing a political leader, while those poor people could be spending their hardearned money on more worthwhile ways to better their life and community.

The ultimate culprit is the SRGMP voting system which has allowed unaccounted voting, and has caused a situation where 1 person does not equal 1 vote.

I know that SRGMP is not forcing these people to spend their money, but there is something called karma; and it could come back to bite them sometime.

tell me something... do u think only debojeet has fanatic fans?? i am sure even the other contestants have fans that vote multiply for them.as for the NE ppl, well they r spending their money is what they believe in... they have worked hard for that money and have full claim on it.. if doing this makes happy then why not? and as pointed out in a legit interview by debo, even without NE he was still scoring higher that the rest of the contestants in all regions, as in all states he scored more that the other contestants... so its not like he would not have been in without NE votes.... i think its a shame that he has to justify his victory when he clearly is the majority's choice

Those people can chose to waste their hard earned money the same way we can criticize their stupid actions. It is a free country after all. It is unfortunate that they are spending their money on this silly talent show, when they could spend it on something like education of their children.

Debo needs to brush up on his math skills, being an engineer and all. His claim cannot hold up. Seema, I'd suggest you analyze this critically, not just take someones word for it. The same way you cannot say 8 NE states are greater than 4 Southern states without looking at the actual population numbers.

Seema. I am sure kids know what they did was not the right approach and they made a blunder as Hemu & Vineet's mother said sorry for them...what is worst..your parent saying sorry in open public for your mistakes....as I child...I would have felt very ashamed of myself. SO i ma positive they know it. I have sent emails in that reference to them individually too.

It is public vote we have to accept the verdict but we cannot punish them by not voting the right deserving candidate...and if by anychance they were oopposing the NE then also it is our system's failure. Our school and home forgot to teach us rich heritage of country which is bound by whole nation together.

Nice Post Seema and nice response Iron. I like both your questions as well as answers. If I had written up the qs., they would have been my exact thoughts. And If I had written up the ans., they would have been my exact thoughts too.

In short, as a hard core Hemu fan, I take offense to the raw deal Debu is getting from Mentor's and narrow-minded Janta. And my heart cries for him. If I let myself get emotional, I would change my stand and start voting for Debu. But ... But ... I like Hemu's singing so I will only vote for him. If, for any unfortunate reason, he is eliminated. Then my vote will only go for Debu.

Yes, we shud make them realize if they are wrong, ... but not at the cost of their careers. That's why I only believe in true voting. What Hemu did, hurt me. But I won't stop voting for him and let his hardship and struggle of 7 mo. go waste. That would be like punishing him for his mistake, instead of making him realize his mistake. My added two cents. 😛

hey guyz, thanks a lot for ur response. i agree with all of ur posts completely... i don't think that we really have to kick out hemu just for his mistake. since i am a hemu/debu fan i cannot see injustice done to either one of them. when hemu was ignored by the mentors i was very upset. i will continue voting for both ofcourse. the main goal behind my article was really not to sway all the hemu/vinit fans from voting for them to voting for debu. i just want them to look at things objectively and know that as sad as it is, their contestants did make a mistake. again this is not to put down any of them ofcourse. hey musicpulse i agree that the 4 southern states and 8 NE states r not equal in population. but in one episode hemu had gotten 40% votes from chennai, which is one single city... but that does not mean we throw hemu out, it is hardly his fault if ppl of a region love him... the whole base behind this post was to make all of us aware that w/e votes debu did get is fine, it is not his fault and it certainly does not mean that he shld be disqualified... also i heard somewhere that they walkedout due to ULFA threats.... but what i dun get is that if the contestants really felt their life is at risk or their family is at risk, then how come they decided to continue on with the show so soon. becuz all i know is that if i was in their place i would not agre to participate again no matter what they told me or threatened me with. but ofcourse we really don't know the whole story so really anything that we r being told my media and even on the show with their family and controversies should be taken with a grain of salt. again thanks a lot for all ur support and even disagreements... loved all the posts. i am trying to be as unbiased as possible and we will all try not to belittle any contestant, right guys? 😊
