The truuuuuuest dark horse-Gajji

Gajji, i think, has emerged as the truest dark horse in all this confusion of a challenge.

He was the man who gave to the music loving audience, a show par excellence- TVS Sa Re Ga Ma.With a much loved anchor - Sonu, with his excellent vocals and pleasant, humble( in those days) personality set the screen ablaze.

I can make huge lists of performances those days which brought many a tear to my eyes- beautiful rendition of Allah Tero naam, Parveen Sultanas version of humey tumse pyar kitna, teri aankhon ke siva, kabhi khud pey kabhi haalat pey- which deserved nothing less that a standing ovation!

Do you ever remember seeing Gajji anywhere on the screen?

You would only hear his voice- clarifying some issue- the greatest controversy those days being a tie between two contestants!

Gajji- you WERE a true enigma- you set gold standards in the history of musical programmes. You were famous, yet so unknown , so very media shy, so very camera shy- doing quality work -quietly.

Yours was a good show- enjoyed by all for more than 10 years

But now, Why Gajji, why? Why have you gotten yourself into such murky waters and maligned your name?
