The spy, who had witnessed Virja's death is also there. He explains how Virja was killed.
Devantak - One could not even imagine that powerful Virja could be killed like this. This incident proves that Mahotkat is definitely an incarnation. Vashishth's prediction also says that the child is an enemy of demons. Mahamantri, depute demons to kill Mahotkat. They should be expert in warfare, magic and should be strong.

Maharshi Kashyap is talking to his disciples.
Kashyap - After Virja's death, demons will create troubles in the ashram for taking revenge. Except main gate all other gates of the ashram should be closed. Every moment, two people will be there for security at the main gate.

Time passes. Mahotkat grows into boyhood. He comes out of his cottage and sees a demon laughing. The demon is standing in air and there is fire coming out of his body. Mahotkast produces divine light from his finger and laughs. The light hits the demon. Now there is no fire coming out of his body but he produces fire from his mouth. Mahotkat stops the fire with light from his finger and laughs. The demon produces fire balls from his mouth and Mahotkat puts it out by producing very strong wind from his mouth.

Satya says that even though Maharshi Kashyap is highly knowledgeable, still the attachment for one's child can affect anybody. He is not able to sleep because of concern for his son.

Kashyap, Aditi and Mahotkat are lying down. Kashyap is not able to get any sleep, so he gets up. Aditi sees him. Both come out of the hut.
Aditi - Swami, you did not get any sleep tonight.
Kashyap - I am worried that some demon might have entered the ashram.
Aditi - You have taken complete care of the security.
Kashyap - You are right but I am worried.
Aditi - Sometimes thinking too much also causes worries. It is past midnight. You should sleep peacefully. Mahaganpati will take care of everything.
Mahotkat hears his mother. He comes to child Ganesh form and moves his finger. Because of that, Kashyap and Aditi feel happy and sleepy. They come inside and sleep peacefully.

Devantak - Mahamantri, do everything to kill Mahotkat. I keep remembering Vashishth's prediction. So many mighty demons have been killed. That is really making me think that this child has been born for the destruction of demons.
Mahamantri - Maharaj, getting suspicious and worried does not solve a problem. We have to make special plan to kill Mahotkat. We have to kill him outside Kashyap ashram.
Devantak - How is this possible? It is not easy to bring Mahotkat out of the ashram. By now Kashyap and his family must be even more careful.
Mahamantri - Nothing is impossible, maharaj. Every somvati amavasya, Aditi goes to take bath in a pond outside the ashram. Mahotkat will also come with his mother. When will that crocodile come of use who has not spared anybody?
Devantak - You are great mahamantri. This means that inside water, Mahotkat will be killed.

After some days, there is somvati amavasya. Mahotkat insists that he will also go to the pond. Finally Aditi has to agree. Aditi and her friends go to take bath in the pond and they ask Mahotkat to wait a little before the pond.

When Aditi and her friends are taking bath, then Mahotkat goes goes to another side of the pond and starts playing with his feet inside water. The crocodile catches his legs.
Mahotkat screams - Mother save me. A crocodile has caught me.

The crocodile pulls Mahotkat inside water. Aditi cries that somebody should save her son. Blood can be seen on water. This makes Aditi and her friends even more worried. They come out of the water and shout for help. Some rishis hear them.

Precap - The rishis inform Kashyap maharshi that a crocodile caught Mahotkat and pulled him deep inside water.
