Tripurasur comes with his army to Mandargiri Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh, Shiv gans, and all the gods are ready.
Tripurasur - O Shankar, give me that ancient idol. Then the demon-army will return and you spend your life in Mandargiri in peace.
Lord Shiv - Fool Tripurasur, you are being blind due to the pride of your strength. That idol, which is worshshipped by all Kailash-people cannot be given to you. If you want to save your army from destruction, then go back.
Tripurasur - Demon army never returns without winning the battle. Attack.
The war begings. Seeing that demons are having upper hand, Lord Shiv attacks Tripurasur with his trishul. Tripurasur stops the trishul with his weapn and laughs. Lord Shiv throws a gada and Tripurasur stops that also. Lord Shiv produces lightning from his palm but Tripurasur blocks that also.
Some gods are captured by the demon army. The remaining gods along with Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh vanish.
Tripurasur - My brave soldiers, even gods cannot stand before the demon-army. Treat the captured gods as per the rules of war. Search for the idol so that I can gift that to my guest.
The gods are having a meeting. Lord Shiv and Lord Vishnu express surprise that Tripurasur is so strong that he could defeat the gods. Narad comes there.
Lord Shiv - Devarshi, the gods are in a dilemma over what to do. You please tell me a way by which that wicked Tripurasur can be finished.
Narad - Mahadev, the gods were defeated not because of the strength of the demon-army but because gods did not keep their word. Before beginning the war, none of you worshipped or remembered Sri Ganesh. Sri Ganesh is to worshipped first. Before making him happy, no work can bring success. Tripurasur has become powerful and invincible due to a boon from Sri Ganesh. You all should worship Sri Ganesh.
Messengers to Tripurasur - Senapati has informed that the idol has been found but even many soldiers could not move it.
Tripurasur - Inform senapati that I will myself go and bring that idol.
Gods worship Sri Ganesh. Sri Ganesh appears.
Sri Ganesh - I am happy with the worship. Ask me what you desire.
Lord Shiv - Adi Vinayak, we do not have any desire for ourselves. We remembered you for the welfare of the three worlds.
Lord Vishnu - All the three worlds are being terrorized by Tripurasur. You grant a boon by which he can be killed.
Sri Ganesh - Tripurasur can be killed only by Mahadev's trident. Remembering me and repeating my maha-mantra, when Mahadev will use his trident, then Tripurasur will be destroyed together with his three cities.
Tripurasur comes to get the idol. He tries all his strength but cannot move the idol a bit. Wirh much difficulty, he is somehow able to lift the idol. After some time, suddenly the idol and the gods disappear.
Tripurasur - It is really strange. It must be some tricks of gods. Let us go back to our place soon.
As Tripurasur is returning with his army, he meets gods on the way. Lord Shiv throws some weapons at Tripurasur but Tripurasur blocks them. Lord Shiv sees Sri Ganesh in the sky. Then he picks his trident. Sri Ganesh sits on the trident in miniature form. Lord Shiv attacks Tripurasur with the trident and Tripurasur's head is cut. The demon army runs away.
Precap - Two boys are born to a brahmin. An astrologer predicts that they will be very brave and will get boon from Lord Shiv. He names them Devantak and Narantak.
