Akshay ko bhi darr lagta hai- Interview

Like millions of Akki fans, we hurried ourselves to Mukesh Mills in Colaba, Mumbai to see Bollywood's iconic macho star perform a stunt live for the media. Akshay Kumar was to jump from 35 feet before the press. Unfortunately rains played spoilsport and Akshay had to cancel that stunt. The media was highly disappointed but Akshay made it up to the press by answering all the possible questions thrown at him, one after the other.

Dressed in a Black suit and trousers, Akshay looked debonair to the core and giving him company was his sexy entourage comprising 8 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' level 2 contestants.

The girls jokingly complained that Akshay was their headmaster while they were the students who felt as if they were in some hostel while on the show to which Akshay added, "I keep pushing them, at times even literally as I want these girls to overcome their fear... I made Bruna Abdullah do a stunt with cockroaches as I knew how much she is scared of them. If I am angry I even tell them that they don't deserve to be on the show. Having said that, I also know how much is enough for them. I along with the team jointly design the stunts that these girls perform and I myself perform at least one stunt with each of them."

Akshay played it safe when asked to disclose his favourite contestant, "All have their unique qualities. Last season, Yana Gupta did exceedingly well but couldn't make it to the final, the show has such format."

We threw a googly at Akshay by asking him about the phobia he had overcome himself. The Khiladi Kumar uninhibitedly replied, "Since childhood I am scared of Merry-go-rounds. I don't know why but I get this yucky feeling whenever I sit in them and it's still the same."

The actor's simple revelation bowled us over. Akshay is definitely a complete man... not just because he plays a doting father to Aarav, a loving husband to Twinkle, nor for his daredevilry and that 'fitter than fittest' body. Akshay is a complete man because he was not scared of admitting the fact that he too gets scared of something! We are looking forward to seeing you in the third season as well Akshay.
