Iqbal Pasha reunites with his family after appearing on Farah Khan's Tere Mere Beach Mein...
It was indeed a joyous moment and a complete surprise for
Iqbal Pasha as he saw his parents after nearly 8 years.
STAR Plus' Tere Mere Beach Mein made it happen! The chart topping chat show hosted by
Farah Khan had Iqbal Pasha as the Main Hoon Nah participant in the episode that aired on August 29th and had Priyanka Chopra and Vijender Singh as celebrity guests. The theme was 'Chhote Sheher, Bade Sapne."
On seeing his father, Sufi Ali Pasha, Iqbal broke down crying bitterly ashamed and sorry for all the hurt and tensions that he had given them by being immature and running away from home. His father said, "I've lived only in hope and prayers that I would find my son and STAR Plus made it happen. I went into coma for 25 days when he left home and have put Iqbal's picture in 1000's of papers in missing columns, registered missing complaints at police stations, went personally to jails all over the country looking for Iqbal, went all the way to Dubai looking for Iqbal as he'd heard that kids are kidnapped and made to slog...I look after 150 kids in an ashram like YMCA did for Iqbal all these years. I'm so happy that I got my son back. I owe it all to STAR Plus."

A very touching story â Iqbal loved playing cricket and left home because he loved playing his favorite game did not get him any encouragement at home. He landed in Mumbai and met some drug peddlers on the station but soon found his way to YMCA where coach Mohit noticed his abilities to play cricket and took him under his wing. YMCA wanted to send him home but the kid didn't remember his phone number or address except that he was from Piddapur. His parents are seeing him after nearly eight years.
YMCA Juhu has been supporting him all these years - education, food & lodging - and he has also been learning cricket & attending computer classes. Iqbal canot believe the turn of events ever since he appeared on Tere Mere Beach Mein. Iqbal says, "No one told me about Ammi's visit and seeing her in front of me came as a complete surprise. I missed my family but didn't know the way back home. It's thanks to STAR Plus & Farah Ma'am that I've been able to meet my family again. YMCA has been a home to me all these years and they have taken care of my basic needs. Ammi ki bahut umar ho gayee! Kitne saal ho gaye unhe milke.I'll visit my family now but return to Mumbai and make something good out of my life. I want to make my parents proud."
There was another incident Iqbal reveals; "Years ago, Priyanka was shooting at the Palm Grove parking lot (he stays right next to it at the YMCA) for a film and her car went over my feet. I cried out in pain. She stepped out immediately and said, " Chottu sorry sorry," very apologetically. I was so floored that she spoke to me that I just smiled and said it's ok and forgot my hurt!" Amazing how he's met Priyanka so up close years later! Priyanka Chopra has also conveyed her happiness to Farah Khan at this news and has expressed a desire to meet Iqbal with his parents.
