What does Mrinalini want ?

In the midst of so many uncertainties about Radhika & Dev's marriage , Radhik's reaction to murti disappearance , Shastriji's fate in society & Vishaka's impending return , with a wknd in between , my thoughts began to dwell on Mrinalini's behaviour & her agenda

Has she been put there only to increase Chacha's majority without thinking why should she do that ?

It is understandable that she is jealous of Chhoti bahu who has & will usurp Mrins position as Bari Bahu . But what does she gain by siding with Chacha to get Arjun the position of a Raj purohit . Arjun is married , His wife has made a place in the household , being obedient & compliant . There is nobody against her except her husband . Arjun , if he becomes RP can not marry again as long as Deepika is living .If the trio is succssful in their schemes & Dev is dethroned & Arjun becomes becomes RP , his wife will be around & get all the honor of RP's wife . Mrinalini can at best be his mistress & have an extramarital affair with the RP . ARjun can get a waaris only thru his wife , then what does Mrin gain by it .
She may be able to influence the RP in getting money from him but her position in the HH will again be lower than that of Deepika .
If she wanted to disqualify Dev , why did she not raise the issue of Vivek being a RP .
Mrin is shown as a modern , forward & liberated woman who moves in elite circles ,is aware of current trends & progress why cant she think of a waaris with Vivek thru IVF . She should fight for her husband to be the RP . He has a clear sharp mind . He moves around every where , why is he disqualified from that exalted position .
If his name is proposed , Dev will be the first to lobby for it . Maa & Dadi ma shall be happy for him
Then why have the creatives taken this line of Mrin supporting Chacha only to dethrone Dev .
Everytime , Mrin speaks against CB , I always wonder at this incongruity in Mrin's character.
She is not shown as having a shallow mind to be just jealous of CB
By disqualifying CB & DEv , she should gain something more substantial than just an extramarital relationship with the RP

I agree with u...Mrinalini has nothing better to do than to spoil people's lives!!

Mrin is shown to be like a spoiled brat throwing tantrums with no real purpose. She just wants to get some attention(suffers from Attention deficit disorder - ADD) and hurt people who she thinks have robbed her of her happiness.
She gets some of the attention from the right people(not Chacha)I think she will be just fine. Arjun just wants to use her and I thinks she knows it and she plays him well without really giving him what he wants.

It would be really great if down the line the show could address some of Mrin's issues and actually bring some of her insecurities to light. I think an excellent way to show this would be through a track where Rads tries to befriend her. I know it seems unlikely that the creatives would go this route but it sure would a change from the usual catfights and bickering between women in the family that is shown in most soaps. The creatives have said in interviews that CB is different from other shows. Now is the time to show the viewers how and why this statement is true.

In one interview Avinash said Chhoti bahu is the story of all the different characters in the serial .
I hope they do show what happened to Bari bahu , so that Chhoti bahu became the cyanosure of all eyes .
She should also be given some more& different dialogue than only berating Radhika .

i think it's because mrin. and viv. can't have kids, to keep the rp tradition going.

I agree with evasumi. But I also think that if Arjun becomes RP, Mrinalini will still get to do whatever she wants and spend money because she knows Arjun won't say no and that's better then Radhika being the Chhoti Bahu because she won't be manipulated and everything
