How I fell in love with Manav Article

It's been barely two months since I got married, but it seems like ages since I know Manav (Vij) and decades since we tied the knot! But I must confess it is a great feeling. I feel true love can be experienced only after you get married.

I still remember the first time I met him. It was on the sets of Kis Desh Mein Hain Mera Dil and though I knew who he was Manav was still a complete stranger. Then we started working together but by and large our interactions were limited to an exchange of pleasantries. We even went out to restaurants during breaks, but that was with the entire cast and crew of Kis Desh Mein... We never really felt the need to go out alone and had all our initial 'dates' in front of everyone!

But I knew something for sure that I wanted to get married to a person who is honest and pure at heart. Incidentally, Manav had both these qualities and that is what attracted me to him first.

On top of that, there is another fantastic strength he has -- Manav is extremely positive. Since the day we have known each other, whenever I was in a sad mood or thinking in a pessimistic manner, he convinced me to think positively and helped me get out of the situation. I have lost count of how many times this has happened! Manav truly believes that being positive can turn things in your favour.

For me, being pure at heart means a lot. You exude a lot of positive energy and vibes if you are pure at heart. As a result, people around you also start thinking positively and all troubles are taken care of!

I realised I was in love with Manav when my mother was ill few months back. I was very depressed and sad. Seeing how sad I was, Manav took the initiative and did a number of things which changed my mood and I started thinking positively. It really was a tremendous relief for me. None of my other male friends asked me about what happened or did anything special for me at that point of time. That showed how deeply Manav thinks for me and also that he was concerned for me. That is when I started developing some special feelings for Manav which eventually led to marriage.

After the wedding our lives have changed a lot. I have become more home bound and want to give most of my time at home. I feel like decorating our place and making it the way Manav would like to see it.

A number of my friends and fans have asked me about my wedding gift to Manav. My answer was - since I do not believe in material gifts, I have given my entire life to Manav. No other gift can match this.

We are planning to go for a honeymoon before December and shortlisted three places Switzerland, London and Paris. We hope to select one soon. On the professional front, I am concentrating on my figure a lot and doing lot of yoga. I will start looking for new work after a few months since I am completely tied up in my new world. Everyday is a new experience for me. I thank God for all the happiness he has given us.
