I dedicate this topic to effervescence who got me thinking about how much of a fashion disaster MJHT actually promotes. Had it on my mind for long, but you inspired me to write it out👏

NO TEEN dresses up like that dude, let alone be called "hot" n "pretty" wearing them. 😆😆😆 The Girls' wardrobes need an immidiete repair to start with! Gosh 😕🤢
As an ex-NIFTian, i must suggest a few tips to the creatives at least...if they'd at all care to look.
See, we love the show and the leads, and want them to look good...or at least look the age they are apparantly portraying 😕😆😉
[High five Effervescent! hehhehhe]
NUPUR:
immidietly replace her gawdy and outlandish, smothering tight churidaar kurtas with more flowy and comfertable fits. please get over that entire sheen polyestered look, and give her cottons, georgettes and dupions. she's got a pretty sleek frame, she can afford to wear looser silhouettes. something like what deepika padukone wears in that Love Aaj Kal song- chor bazaari.
they'll look good on her actually.
and please please take away those "disco-ball" brocades from her outfits! throw them, give them to annie...do whatever! she's got such elegant face-features and a dusky complexion. loud make-up or clothing CANNOT make her look good, let alone young for that matter.
a more subtle look with pastel shades of greytonal variety in blue, olive, dull crimson, cream, peach will look great! batik and jaipur block prints also can be incorporated too. God she's such a vital and energetic person, her eyes and expression speak volumes...why subdue all that with such a screaming wardrobe. no more hair pleats or ponytails. she can just keep her hair casually open, or maybe make a loose bun sometimes, the kinds we girls do quickly when we r in a hurry. her charecter is meant to be that of a careless beauty, not some extra dolled up woman who dsnt even look college going and ends up looking kinda vernac which she's not. she's a small townie, but educated.
her make up needs to be toned down too. Make Up enthusiast from the forum can take on from here!
GUNJAN:
throw the curtain and carpet drapes away for pete's sake! we'v all had ENUFFF!!!🤢🤢🤢
she's shown as this shy but academically brilliant person. with talent as a singer, event organiser, emcee n all. so why still that shy-dye-muraina-ki-wallflower look?
replace it with a more sabhyasachi patchwork styling. [u dont have to go for the original brand Sudhir, i know it'll cost u lots more than what u r making 😉]
similar designs can be tailored with lesser intricacies and material, but thats how the Gunjan wardrobe essence can be. the one with plain pastel shade collared cotton kurtas with black or white lycra churidars, with or without a dupatta sometimes. she can also wear the slightly shorter fabindia kind of kurtis with salwars and patialas. Sanaya is really fair, so any colour wud suit her. she can wear bright shades but not the overtly glaring ones. no more georgette for her. cotton please. she also has petite frame, so even she does not always need to wear very fitted kurtis. 1/2 to 1 size looser kurtas would also look good on her as a change. she should try tying up her hair sometimes into a ponytail or french pleats. and must carry one of those katha-stitch-worked jholas with not a very long sling. and with this entire look, her specs'll also look cool!
oh yes, her lipstick has suddenly become very intense. a more earthen, skin toned gloss wud look perfect.
DEEYA:
Navina has one of those "Sunshine" smiles, but she does not always need to wear such tight fitted sundresses and party gears to college all the time! she has a pear shaped figure, which means she's heavier on the hips, so that portion needs to be slightly toned down. she can wear some frock tops and balloon tops along with regular jeans and capris. that way she'll still look glamorous. her hair and make up are fine for a "college diva", but please give her some cottons and jerseys. i mean, just because she's a diva dosnt mean she has to wear satin weaves all the time! seriously, mjht wardrobes are too jazzed up to be considered realistic.😃😡😃
SAMRAT:
ok, he's the college stud/jock, so he has to wear lot of sporty knits most of the times.
his tees look great on him actually, so they are fine they can stay. his hair looks better with a bounce rather than the gelled-wet style.
please dont give him those skanky shirts, they make him look like some loser on the streets.
black, white, moss and light mauve would suit better if he has to wear shirts. subtle stuff, coz he already has a very outgoing and larger than life screen persona. and that golden aladdin shirt that gunjan chose for him can take a hike! phew🤢
MAYANK:
mayu's the serious, stable and sensitive...and the look he was given initially was pretty accurate. like shirts, esp with checks; sometimes a light jersey over it...that look was perfect. these occassional bhaiyaji shirts spoil it all. he can wear hooded sweatshirts sometimes...he'll look terrific! even the fabindia kurtas with jeans for that intellectual look.
mayank's is probabely the only charecter whose wardrobe is still seen on streets. and i am not saying this coz i like him the most, but because its actually true 😳😊😊 lol
though i must say, on college events and occassions, his stylist goes berserk 🤢
Hehehhe this post's been really long guys, thanx for reading. do tell me what u think of my suggestions, and give some of urs as well. and yeah, pray that the creatives take this seriously 😛

I loved your post and completely agree specially in case of Nupur. Initially giving her such bright clothes made sense as it was needed to show/shape her character but now I realllllllly want to see something different. She is one character out of all who is not shy and is not scared to experiment then I fail to understand why creatives are not using that to her advantage. I loved all your ideas why don't you put it up in 'plea to creatives' thread.....if we r realllllly lucky it might get noticed. I hope they give MJHT a brand new, hip, cool and classy look to mark it's one year completion.....oh well if only dreams came true!!!!
