Priyanka Chopra supports Bulgari 'Rewrite the Future' campaign

Priyanka Chopra, India's leading actor and former Miss World 2000 pledged her support, to the Bulgari Save the Children Initiative.

As part of the initiatives scheduled for 2009 to celebrate the 125th anniversary of its foundation, Bulgari has chosen to support the "Rewrite the Future" campaign of Save the Children, the largest independent international organisation for the defence and championing of children's rights, present in over 100 countries around the world.

Internationally the project has found support in many noted celebrities such as Ben Stiller, Mischa Barton, Debra Messing, Terrance Howard, Ronaldhino, Isabella Rossellini, Julianne Moore, Benicio Del Toro, Sally Field, Sting, Willem Dafoe, Rosario Fiorello, Gabriele Muccino, Andy Garcia, Valeria Golino, Fabrizio Ferri, Jason Lewis, Ginnifer Goodwin, Eddie Van Halen and Barbie, amongst others.

Speaking on her association with Bvlgari and the Rewrite the Future Campaign, Priyanka Chopra said "I'm delighted to join this illustrious group of supporters for this very deserving cause. It goes without saying that children are our future and we need to do whatever it takes to ensure that they have a chance for a better future by educating them and protecting their rights. I am very proud to be a part of this initiative with BVLGARI and Save the Children, which touches the lives of millions of children across the world. I firmly believe that every little step we take will make a difference in the long run."

Through "Rewrite the Future" campaign, Save the Children is committed to providing within 2010 quality education to 8 million children living in conflict-affected areas. Thanks to the campaign, up to now Save the Children has rebuilt schools, supplied school materials and protected children from abuse and exploitation, paving the way for a durable change in the life of almost 6 million children.

The symbol par excellence of Bulgari's commitment alongside Save the Children – and a tribute to the silversmith origins of Sotirio Bulgari, the company's founder – is a silver ring specially created for the campaign and featuring the Save the Children logo engraved inside. Priyanka Chopra highlighted her commitment to the cause and adorned the special ring at the press conference.

The ring is available in all Bulgari stores in India and throughout the world, in some selected department stores. This stunning ring is available across the world until 30 December.

Besides the ring, to mark the occasion Bulgari has also developed a collection of 15 pieces of high jewellery and 8 high-end timepieces, of an estimated total value of € 3 million. These pieces were officially unveiled on 4 June 2009 in Rome, on occasion of the retrospective exhibition "Between Eternity and History", hosted at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, to celebrate the 125 years of the Bulgari brand.

This collection is currently on a tour of the world's greatest cities, where they will be presented during a series of high-profile events; these include Beijing, London, Los Angeles, Miami and will culminate with the New York auction on December 07, 2009. All proceeds will be donated to Save the Children's Rewrite the Future campaign, which Bulgari has committed to support for the entirety of 2009.

U know a customer had come to my friends shop and they pronounce Bvlgari as BULgari 😆😆😆 We were standing there and we wanted to burst out laughing so we ran out of the showroom 😆 But shes one lucky girl....she got to meet SRK, Ash, Lisa ray, Abhishek Bachchan and 2-3 others as they come to her showroom for innaugration kinda things as they were brand ambassadors for the watches she has. But I tell her its hardly luck coz none of them are any1 from BW that I may wanna meet 😆 :P
