I may be thinking about this too hard but they need to divorce. (and speaking as a true SanRaj fan this is difficult)

I've never liked Hiten (nasty ungrateful moaney brat) and khemi is a little bit thick (falling in love with her nephew and then acting like a COMPLETE IDIOT by continuously running all over gujrat) but.... they love each other and that's what matters.

Santu on the other hand, got treated like crap ,(still does) and DM will only ever love his wife truly. He definitely doesn't love santu and her love for him is born out of infatuation/respect and that fact she feels it her duty otherwise what has the man ever done to deserve her love? and he finally said it today himself which crystallised it for me. He's old and she has her whole life ahead of her - doesn't she want kids of her own? what she's gonna have kids with DM??!! and she should marry someone her own age who she can stand side by side with.

Its late, and that episode made me sad. for once ekta's made a serial that actually has a bloody good storyline rather 1 or 2meetings--> falling madly in love/lust ---> spending 60 years getting divorced/married/kids in which love is easily lost/gained/changed! (KZK was confusing, KTH turned into utter rubbish and KSBKBT took the utter piss ganga/gautam/damini/karan/nandini !!!!)

Hmm, I know how you feel. But think about it from DM's side. Look at how much he has changed since Santu came into his life. He is rarely mad anymore, when he does gets mad, he thinks before he reacts. He listens to good advice. EX-Birwa situation. He has listened to Santu too. He doesn't know Santu's feelings at all other than respect. If she lets him know that she loves and adores him, he will give back tenfold and forget all about Subhi, atleast the monologues.
I am a diehard romantic at heart, I just want our SanRaj couple together like everyone in this forum. It will happen some day, I am sure of it.

you're so cute maliika113!
but be honest to yourself, even if he thought santu's happiness lay with him do you think its greater than the love for his children? and this love santu has for dm - is it really love when you can't even call yourself equal or respected by the other man?

Thanks dear for calling me cute. You are cute yourself, heheešŸ˜†
Santu is from a different background, she is not so modern to demand equality and all. She wants a respectable gentleman who cares about his family and who is also respected and admired in the community. DM is all that and more. She has been noticing changes in him too. Before she used to quiver to even stand in front of him. Now she boldly comes and talks to him, gives her advice or input in all the different situations and he listens to her. She loves all the kids like they were her own and wishes the best for them.
He gives her little gifts which she treasures in her heart. Soon, she will get the best gift of all, her Maalik's heart. Then the Chokri will be the happiest in the kingdom------hehehe, sorry, ---in DharampuršŸ˜†
What can I say about myself, I love fairytales and mushy love storiesšŸ˜†šŸ˜†

Greater or not he has got some responsibilities towards Santu....afterall it was his decison to marry her.....
he could have easily announce that Santu will get married to one of his sons...why didn't he do that....coz..at that time he was so selfish about his business.... Married life is no business......
Love is not a give and take business to accept on some agreement......Love just happens like what happened to Santu....for her also their marriage was an agreement...but later she fell for DM......not just because he is her hubby but coz he is a very gud person at heart....DM should also look for the kind hearted person in Santu....and later find his wife in her.......

You all are looking at the situation from a modern person's standpoint. I for one do not advocate the violence that has been dealth to Santu but like Mallika said Santu is from a different background and who is to say DM does not love her just because he loves his first wife there are many people out there who were with their first loves but have gone on to love someone else. Like Mallika we have all seen DM come along way from when the show first started to the man he is today and that did not happen because of his first wife it happened because of Santu and the fact that he is older than her why should that matter all through out time men have married women younger than themselves and have been happy. Our problem is we want the love story from the get go and this show happens to show the process of love happening as it progresses. Khemi and Hiten had the luxurary of falling in love but for Santu that is something that happened gradually. Dm is allowed to love his first wife and will realize that there is room in his heart for another love besides her. I too am a romatic at heart and with these stories you have to take the good with the bad and it seems like everyone wants to throw the baby out with the bath water just because things are not rose colored for us. Arpita I love your comments and while most of the time I can agree this is one time where I have to stamp my foot and pout and say hey where is the love and why have we forgotten that love doesnt just happen all of the sudden but can be gradual and hit us like a ton of bricks when we realize it . Santu's last comments at the end proves that love does come softly.

I don't think there is any reason whatsoever, that DM and Santo should divorce. So what if their marriage started out as a compromise and had a rocky start, lots of happy marriages do. So what if they didn't look at each other and promptly fell in love, happens all the time. So what if DM is a lot older than Santo, plenty of examples of very happy marriages with age discrepancy. Important thing is that they are falling in love now. I don't think DM treats Santo like crap, not anymore anyways. She is obviously in love with him, it's not like she is going to move on after the divorce and forget him and marry someone else and live happily ever after...not going to happen, he has left an indelible imprint on her life and that is not going to go away. I don't believe DM is incapable of loving again...I am not of the train of thought that people can only love once....if that was the case people wouldn't have happy second marriages, sometimes happier than the first after their first spouse dies. I think DM is well on his way to falling in love with Santo, if his reactions this week are anything to go by. He might not love Santo the same way as he loved Subhi and it's better that he doesn't...but does not mean he will love her any less. Its unfair to question if DM can love Santo more than his kids....which person can chose between their spouse and their kids?...no one can even if the spouse was the birth mother of the same kids, so why ask this of DM? There is no way these two are going to move on happily after a divorce and forget about each other, their happiness lies with each other and that is why there is no sane reason for their divorce.

Well saidšŸ‘ DM and Santu will be miserable without each other. They should be together and get to know each other on equal level, not maalik and chokri level!
