Salman Khan has finally quit smoking; the actor has been on a cleansing spree after he gave up the bottle on friend Aamir Khan's insistence.
Salman Khan has finally quit smoking; the actor has been on a cleansing spree after he gave up the bottle on friend Aamir Khan's insistence.
Sallu Miyan goes on to speak on his blog about his achievement, 'I have quit smoking. For my family and friends it's the greatest news and if we were publishing a daily family bulletin, it would make the headline, in the boldest, biggest possible letters.'
The actor had been trying to kick the butt for a while now and felt he was captured by the 'small, burning, foul smelling, filthy thing'. 'A six-pack man who slogs for at least hundred minutes in the gym everyday was dominated by this two inch long destroyer that burns end to end in just three minutes!' the beefy actor added.
Salman's drunken stupors were known by each and everyone in the industry. His outbursts were feared by many and the actor found it difficult to tone up for his gladiator role in his upcoming film Veer. Many of Sallu's close friends and relatives advised him to give up his deadly vices but it all fell on deaf ears.
But now Sallu's a changed man, its been months since he touched the bottle and speaks of the memories of his dirty habit, saying' My memories of smoking still haunt me because it has been a habit that you practice from the moment you wake up and stub the last one just before sleeping. Some people need it very badly when they are in the toilet. In fact, most youngsters pick up this nasty habit in the toilet… only because they think they can't get caught there.'
The actor then signed off saying, 'I have fought several villains on and off screen but the toughest villain to fight, is quitting smoking!'
Kudos to the actor, lets hope he doesn't have to kick the butt again!
