Vaman stops Parvati attacking Parshuram. Shiv greets Vaman and so does Parshuram, Ganesh and Kartikey. Vaman says he has come to stop the slaying of Parshuram. Shiv thanks him. Vaman says he only fulfilled his Dharm. Shiv doesn't understand how this started. Vaman says that Parshuram was wrong and so I have come to correct things. Vaman tells Parvati she needed to stay in her limits. Parvati agrees but says she couldn't tolerate it and got angry. Vaman tells her that she is Parshuram's Gurumata too (Shiv is Parshuram's Guru).
Parvati understands but asks Vaman what Ganesh will do with his broken tusk now. Vaman says Ganesh will be known as Ekdant and the way his tusk was broken, his Bhakt's will have their troubles cut. Vaman tells Parshuram that he is at fault and has committed a crime. Parshuram says he was like this from slaying many kings. Vaman says accepting your crime is half of the weight freed. Vaman says you are Parvati's sinner, get her forgiveness, she is very powerful, do her Puja and Bhakti. Parshuram thanks Vaman. Parvati reutrns to her normal form and they all bow their heads to Vaman who goes.
Parshuram thinks that if Vaman didn't come, Parvati would have killed him, he decides to go to Brahma for help. He greets Brahma and Brahma says you came back quickly, otherwise you would have stayed for even longer, Brahma closes his eyes and sees what Parshuram did. Parshuram says I don't know why I picked up my axe against Ganesh. Brahma says there are some thing I can't explain, take a certain form. Parshuram says how can I take this quiet form. Brahma says this will calm your mind, go and do Tapasya for Jagatmata, your questions will get their answers. Parshuram agrees and sets off.
Satya comes and says Vaman gave Ganesh the name Ekdant to Ganesh and Parshuram starts his Tapasya. Parshuram gets a flower garland and puts it around a Mataji idol and then gives her flower. He then does her Stuti and repeats Om Durgai Namah Namah. Parvati in her Bhavan is restless. Parshuram continues his Stuti. He then takes a axe type weapon, cuts his hand and puts his hand above a Yagya for the blood to seep in, he does the Stuti whilst doing this and continues doing it after he does this. He then gets the ace weapon and goes to cut his own head off, when Parvati appears in a Durga like form. Parvati blesses him and tells him that he isn't weighed down by any crimes and she blesses him to get more stronger. She then disappears.
