debojit is assam's voice?

debo's wife points fingers at vinit and says he is an idiot. The rest of the fingers are pointing where?.. clearly shows she doesnt have good sanskar..

i admire assam for showing their support.. makes me want to change my mind about debo and vote for him.. nah.. no way.. this is not about supporting your state.. tis is about supporting good voice..

sure debo can and will probably win saregamapa 2005..

but will that make him indias voice?

will it showcase assam and the north eastern states as fanatics?
my answer is yes.

after seeing contestants families fighting with each other i dont give a damn to this show anymore..

in my opinion one should not have musical mahayudh.. this is because music is suppose to bring peace to warring soldiers fighting for things like fighting for your country..

But fighting like this for music is just wrong..

i agree we are looking for india's voice, not assams, and we are not looking for which contestant gets more support from their hometown, but who is the best singer.

Shame on the walk over.Today you see less votes for Nihira because of one reason.Maharashtra is full of non marathis and specially people vote for their own candidates. True. They are not Marathis voice, its the non local voice who vote them. All people vote for their own candidates, with a few exceptions.Look peole from a certain community vote Hema/Vinit?Himani and in the uniformity you will find them everywhere in India.You hardly find NE people except NE and that is why the vote comes from there. If vote was counted region wise I would like to say say the statistics Mother Tounge wise.You will soon know who from Maharashtra voted Himani Debo Vineet. Its the fact digest it. I know a few will come up to show their greatness now like i m mixed , indian etc.. but seeing todays episode I am forced to say that.Answer to it only if you can show the mother tounge behind the votes.

I have noticed that there seems to be a lot outrage in this forum about
support from Assam and the Northeast for Debo but I don't understand
why? He is no doubt a qualfied singer -- he beat Vineet in Fame 2005
and has already sung for Chokher Bali and other soundtracks. Not that
he is successful yet but to get that far one has to be talented.

Also, I think that there is a gap to some extent between Hindi/Punjabi
speaking states and the other states so of course there is some regional
pride. It is always assumed that Vineet and Himani appeal to all of India
but i think that this is inaccurate. It's just that people are used to that
sort of style. Also, why has no one complained that there was a Punjabi
song round and not any other language - -didn't that give Himani and
unfair advantage?

Re: the preference for Debo by a region. I wrote about this somewhere
else earlier but I think that Debo sounds sometimes like Hemant Kumar
and sometimes Kishore Kumar so of course Bengalis could find his voice
appealing with its familiar style. That's of course a generalization -- I
was rooting for Hema as I happen to like the style of South Indian singers
(not to overgeneralize) and his voice in particular.

I really am getting tired of Debo fans being typecast as rabid, illiterate,
regionalistic, crazy people who don't care about his singing. Debo is
Bengali so I would not assume straight loyalty from Assam. Additionally
other Bengalis like Raktima and ujjaini have no fared so well so no blind
loyalty there.

Is it possible that Debo is getting support because these people like his
singing? I think that the evidence shows that he is a good singer. His
classical training has been evidenced in numerous performances. You
may or may not care for Debo's voice but his talent cannot be denied.
Ask his colleagues like Shreya Ghosal.

As for mistakes, they all made mistakes and some on easier songs. What
about the pick up mistake that Vineet made on the Border song? Hema's
song choice itself was a mistake!

Also I don't understand why Debo is suddenly a bad singer? It's not like
this is happening with Paresh or Rajeev? Now that would be scary! India
ka voice earplug ka choice.

I don't know if Debo's weepy wife was disrespectful to Vineet's mom but
the walkout by his competitors was definitely disrespectful no matter who
staged it.

So before attacking Assam, perhaps a review of the facts and
performances may be in order.

What makes me angry is that people would be complaining about Hema's
support from the South if the same thing was happening but Himani gets
to speak Punjabi and ask for NCR votes (whatever that means) and HR
yells at Paresh for not speaking Gujrati. It is too late be angry about
regional voting when everyone made that Devil's bargain.

ok.. point taken about assamese not being rabid etc etc..

as u say the devils bargain is already made.. dats why it dont matter to me anymore.. i dont see any meaning in continuing with the devil..

its time for the rest of the country to wake up and follow assam's footsteps..

i am an optimist.. i believe things can turn around even at this point.. saregamapa is not an end.. in the longer run only real talent and original voice will sustain.. as for me i just hope to listen to good music.. i heard it from hema, himani and vinit.. as far as debo is concerned i am still waiting..
