Aamir Ali was born in December in Lahore, Pakistan. He studied in St. Anthony's High School, and then graduated from American University in Washington, DC. His first commercial break was for Bajaj Scooters. It was a TV commercial in which Aditya Bajaj, Marketing Director of Bajaj Scooters, personally showed interest in signing Aamir.
His first job was as a flight attendant for Air Sahara and he was the youngest crew member in 1997.
His other modelling assignments are Aptech Computers, Maruti Zen, Ponds talc, Nescafe, etc. He won the titles of Mr.Photogenic, Best Smile and Best Dressed Personality at Grasim Mr.India 2000. He has also featured in Anuradha Paudwal's music video for Ishq Hua and Mangal Singh's Koka Koka.
Ali made his debut in the serial Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and played the role of Parvati's (Sakshi Tanwar) son-in-law Sameer Kaul. Then he entered Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki and played the role of Saumya, Pari's first husband. In 2007 he participated in Nach Baliye 3 with his baliye Sanjeeda Sheikh. They were also the winners of that season where in they battled it out with item-queen Rakhi Sawant and her beau Abhishek Awasthi. Currently Amir is seen in Kya Dill Mein Hai. He was also seen in Kuchh Is Tara wherein he played the role of Guru.
He was also part of Bollywood and has done films like Raghu (2006), Khamosh Pani: Silent waters (2003) and Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai (2002) where in he played the role of a simple guy named Rahul.
