Hey guys, please do read the entire thing, since I'd really want to know your opinions as well.

okay, so today, me and my friend were having a really heated discussion on Love and Friendship. She said, it isn't necessary that friends always fall in love. Then what about love at first sight? Whereas, I was of the opinion that two people HAVE to be friends to fall in love. Maybe both pov's are right, or maybe wrong. But this thing has always confused me a little.

According to SRK in KKHH, "Agar wo mer sabse achchi dost nahi ban sakti, to mein usse pyaar nahi kar sakta!" Very true, in SOME cases.

Like we all see in MJHT, Samrat and Gunjan are the best of friends, and end up falling in love, (hopefully soon enough), since 'ek ladka aur ladki kabhi friends nahi reh sakte'. But, on the other hand, we had Dia and Samrat, and Benji and Gunjan, but they never fell in love. (Though Dia initially had a crush on Sammy, but Sammy didn't feel the same way.) And Benji and Gunjan were simply just friends! Nothing more than that.

Second instance, Mayank and Nupur! Their friendship was a little too complicated, but the baseline is, THEY WERE FRIENDS, before falling in love.

However, if friendship is the first step to love, then what about LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT? That isn't rubbish either! So basically, this entire thing is pretty contradictory. But I strongly believe that friendship forms the base of love, while others would believe in love at first sight?

So what do you think guys?
Is friendship ALWAYS necessary to fall in love?
Do two best friends often end up falling in love?

Well, sorry, just needed to take your opinions on this confusing topic, since i'm myself pretty confused.
Do you always need to be friends to fall in love? Cause personally, i did fall in love with my friend. So what's your view guys? Please do reply! I really need to show this to my friend, if majority are in favour! lol.

Okay didnt read the entire topic, sorry but got the point.

i think yes, coz love at first sight is just a infatuation, or puppy love as some call it.

whereas if you guys are friends frist, youre more likely to fall for her/him because you know them well and like tehm from their heart and not looks.

yup, that's exactly what i think. love at first sight is something i don't believe in! But then again, people have different povs too.

When it comes to love. There is just one rule, which is there is no rule.

Some people fall in love with their friends, After prolonged exposure and completely knowing and understanding each other.
Sometimes its happens with a stranger.
I ve personally seen successful and unsuccessful relationships in both the cases.

For heaven sake, ppl ve fallen in love with their kidnapper.. in real life(not a film story)

As far as the statement "ek ladka aur ladki kabhi dost nahi rahsakte"

its just a filmy statement. my best friend is a guy and not even for a fraction of a second we ve had any romantic feeling towards each other. its simply BS

Exactly, its all puppy love and cant last a life time, it lasts until you feel that girl or guy is old news i ned someone new, whereas if youre friends with her first, you know them in and out.
