I agree Savita is nice to Manav, as he is the sole earner in the family. Of course, Savita had to ask for gold in closed doors, because she does not know how Manav and her daughter would have reacted. She also does not want her reputation to be ruined in front of Manav's atya (bua/foi) and his masis and mamis. I dont recollect seeing Manav's kaka at the dinner.
Yes, some MIL's do go and get the gold checked out and yes, like all of us daughters and their parents, Archu will try her level best to satisfy Savita's greed. I am just waiting for Kaka to find out, so that he can blast Savita to hell and make her realize her mistake.
