eepika Padukone takes time off... Finally

After the attack of malaria in London Deepika Padukone has had no time to slow down let alone take a break.

In fact she was determined to continue working through her delicate post-illness phase specially since she flew down to Delhi for the release of Love Aaj Kal and therefore lost more precious shooting days.

But then Deepika hadn't really bargained for a unit as large-hearted as Sajid Nadiadwala's. In spite of the lost dates the producer, director and the leading man Akshay Kumar got together to give Deepika some time off this week.

Says a source, "Since the cast involves many other permutations and combinations between Akshay and the rest of the cast they decided to let Deepika rest it out for a week and do scenes with the rest of the cast."

Deepika promptly called her family over to relax and feel at home in the city where she's constantly shooting. First Love Aaj Kal now Housefull "My Dad, Mum and sister were here for a few days.

I got to spend some much-needed time with them. I hardly get to visit them in India. They visit me in Mumbai more than I visit them in Bangalore. And they visit me when I'm abroad.

They came to Bangkok during Chandni Chowk To China. Now they were here in London. I don't want them to come to boring places. They should've fun when they visit me."
