The new kid on the block is hosting a new show on Star Plus called Star Sansar and has already gained a lot of popularity. Star Sansaar' is a one hour of sneak peek into all Star Plus shows and interviews with all the actors and actresses. The show is already becoming popular with thousands of people sending in feedback. And a large part of the credit for the success of this show goes to the host ' Karan Tacker. A Mumbai boy, Karan comes from a business family and acquired a degree in business management before trying his luck with acting. "I always loved acting and used to do a lot of it during my school and college days. I started taking up modelling assignments and my commercial for Nivea Men's Cream made me quite popular. I continued modelling for more than a year, while on the lookout for a good assignment. That is when I got to know about the ongoing hunt for a host of Star Sansar. I participated in the audition, got selected and here I am!" says the handsome actor with a smile. Karan is also all set to start working for another television show, which he refuses to talk about. Yes, butter chicken or well roasted chicken.

Anything that my mom makes. She's a splendid cook.

Newyork cheese cake.

Yeah I do.

Eggs. (Laughs)
Have you cooked for any girl?
No not yet. Don't want to kill anyone with my cooking.
Is there any food that you are allergic to?
I'm terribly allergic to chickpeas. But during our festival called Khanjak, I can't resist eating them.
What is the most expensive restaurant you have been to?
Well I have had to pay the highest bill at M-grill in Grand Hyatt.
Do you have food fights?
No, I love my food way too much to throw it around.
Which is your favorite drink?
A nice Mohito.
With which drink do you start your day?
Water and lots of 'em. I drink about a liter and a half of it as soon as I wake up. And believe me it's not due to health consciousness I just wake up feeling so thirsty.
What is the strangest dish you have ever tried?
Well the strangest dish I've ever seen is baked cake with fried roaches in it. But I just couldn't bring myself to try it.
Any embarrassing situation you have faced while eating your food?
I think the fact that I don't talk when I have my lunch kinda leaves me feeling a bit embarrassed.
What do you do for midnight food cravings?
I eat chocolates. I love them. My favorites would be Snickers, Toblerone and Twix.
Your idea of a proper diet?
Just balance your carbs, proteins and try to have very minimal fats.
