KHKN US update March 29

The episode where they try to set up the cafe.

Deepu and Chetan arrive at the bungalow, only to find that it's unkempt, unclean, with cobwebs hanging everywhere. Didn't look like a bungalow at Juhu by any standards. They go inside, and it's the same way, even pigeons flying. No one has lived there in a looong time. Deepu begins to imagine that he sees a female ghost (in a while sari, holding a candle, of course, even though it's broad daylight 🤔). Someone rings the bell. Deepu opens the door and the visitor says he's a Bhai (Don). Deepu thinks he is Chetan's brother, and invites him in. Chetan realizes that he's a Bhai and has come to extort money, and he says that they don't have any money. Deepu (who still doesn't understand) tells Chetan not to lie to his older brother. Chetan drags Deepu away and explains to Deepu that the guy is a Don, and they finally tell him they don't have any cash and send him away. But Bhai needs the money because he's taken a bank loan, and if he doesn't pay installments, his den will be taken away by the bank. "Bhai without an adda is like a Nai (barber) without a knife" according to him. He gives them time until the next day to pay up.

Chetan and Deepu go to get a permit to run their cafe, but the peon at the main door won't let them in unless they bribe him Rs. 10,000! They bribe him and go in to talk to the officer, but he tells to come back after 3 months. Disappointed, they ask the peon for the money back, but he refuses, and Chetan grabs him, but he reminds them that it's a crime to hit a goverment worker. He's already sent 99 people to prison that way, and Chetan would be the 100th. Hearing this, they leave him and go away 😔.

Chetan goes to talk to an old friend of his, Shekhar (not Gaurav Chopra, some other guy). He meets Shekhar at his office as asks him, what's more important to you, friendship or money. Shekhar says friendship, especially with rich people 😉. Chetan says he's happy that his friend values friendship over money, and asks him for a loan of Rs. 5 lakhs (500,000). Shekhar smartly says he values Chetan's friendship a lot, and he would surely loan him the money, but then Chetan wouldn't be able to return that much money easily, and that would cause them to fight, and break their friendship. He doesn't want to risk losing Chetan's friendship, so he won't loan him the money. Saying this he hugs Chetan and sends him on his way 😆.

They go home and see a guy examining their bungalow. He tells them that he wants to offer them a 50 percent partnership deal. They can break down the bungalow and open up a shopping strip in its place. Chetan and Deepu quickly agree, and the guy tells them to arrange the money. They're surprised, and he says yes, getting the money, setting up the shopping strip, and selling shops is your responsibility, and counting the money, as well as depositing and withdrawing it from the bank is my responsibility. Chetan and Deepu throw him out, telling him that falling down is your responsibility, and throwing you out is our responsibility 😡.

Bhai calls up, but they tell him they were unable to get the money, and he threatens them again. Deepu dreams about Bhai coming there with a gun. Next day, Bhai actually does come over and begins to chase them around, but they manage to run away. They feel the house has got them only bad luck. To top off a bad day, someone has just been mugged and shouts "Chor Chor", and a crowd comes running towards our two friends, who run for their lives 😕.

This episode didn't make too much sense, as far as the storyline is concerned. Gaurav Chopra and gang can't come soon enough!

Thanks for the update! I agree with you this episode did not make much sense but judging from the two episodes I saw after this one, I think the show is getting interesting again.
