I came into the forum cos i enjoyed the show so much that, I needed somebody to discuss it with.

To give u a li'l bg into the matter - I work really long hours (being a workaholic)so I havent seen a show on tele. definitely not a serial in a long long time. The truth of the matter is some MN scenes just pulled me in and I got addicted and started enjoying the show as a whole.

I found this forum and was elated to find so many people who are intelligent, creative, fun to talk to and enjoyed the show too. I was into silent read mode for a very long time..
Then one piece by Kavz (kavya_kraZQueen) made me write a response and I havent stopped writing since..though I had a different view from hers she dint make me feel like a newbie and I realised this place is for intelligent discussions as well..for that I Thank u Kavz!

Then I slowly discovered various aspects of the forum.
I became quite a fan of 😆 Mimi's take ..😆and kept telling her that I initiated MTFC (as much as I can see mimi running to throwing me off the CN tower, I gotto say I find them awesome.. ).I enjoyed the fan-fics here (was even inspired to write one 😊). I discovered the buddy concept and the PMs..Made my first ever buddy here in taran (friendship_trust), who reached out to me in this sea..Nikki(the singer) & Kanky (the writer) made me feel welcome here!!
I sort of fell in love with the paradise..Found some amazing friends there (muneefah, Divya (chocolates), Priya (little dragon), preethi, mishu, aisha(cuppycake) , anna (miss_universe), Paris (parisbynight),Rabbia, Madhvi (mdkr), naina, piyu, fatima, abanti,zoah...we had some really crazy chats..If any of us were feeling sad, we had one fool-proof way to overcome that -Dissection! Take any scene of Mayur and dissect it and lo..we all go back grinning.!! Thank you girls for being so awesome!!

Well slowly, I realised IF has some guidelines for posting, even then I am not sure if this topic is allowed cos like the expression goes -the mods may close the topic..So, to manuovre around that possibility..Let me just talk about MJHT.

As much as I prefer to say otherwise..this place is divided (there are the Mayur fans, Sajan fans, those who like both. those who like all, Rania , MN fans (Ex) ...etc) yet united cos..you can notice it in the posts - there are always people crossing over and supporting other opinions which is great.
I for one always end up enjoying the humour of the MN fans(ex) ..they do come up with the most outrageously funny stuff so much so that even 'mappu' sounds funny to me now (though I had strongly detested it earlier). I say this cos, I also enjoy the absolutely enjoy the adorable posts by Sana, nikki & others were I just gush about my love for MJHT/MN :).

So, you are wondering (just like me) whats the point of this post? To just let you know that I enjoy being here, meeting you all, reading your intelligent views and debates. There is one tiny problem..sometimes I find that the attachment levels to characters are so high that people get upset, disturbed , distressed..ki I feel like asking
..in Tamil ..ivaluvu thevaya?
..in Malayalam ..ithrakku veno?
..in Hindi ...itna zaroori hai kya?
..in English.. Is this necessary?
I mean, there is enough stress in our lives, do we need to stress ourselves further by getting stressed out about this aswell? Why not live and let live (like the std- i appreciate ur opinion but this is my point of view🤣 )
Ok, somebody stop me b4 I get carried away..

Single question- Are healthy discussions on MJHT possible when the emotions run so high?

give in your opinions, povs...

Divya😊

P.S - mods -Pls pls pls do not close this topic..I promise you if this topic becomes a bashing centre, I would personally PM you to close this..(is this allowed!!?)

P.P.sAnd another thing I like about IF -the like button (which u r free to use for this post) ..I wish there were love buttons too (Though hate wud be more effective)..Well,,there I go again. I stop!!!

@myownarea: Nice post.

In answer to the question you posed....I've been on IF for about 3-4 years now I guess...and from what I've seen, healthy discussions are only possible if individuals have a) a sense of humor and the ability to laugh at things including themselves and b) a broad frame of mind with the capacity to accept that different opinions exist....this can also be paraphrased as 'live and let live'

However as is the case with this forum and most 'youth shows' forums, ppl are unable to go beyond their obsessive love for their fav. character/couple etc....ppl are easily hurt for completely non-existent reasons...making me wonder how they survive in real life.

You say now that you are able to laugh at the word 'Mappu'...good to know....I do recall you telling Kavya a few days back how much that word hurt you so it's good to see you able to develop a sense of humor about it as most of us have.

Yes, life is full of a million and one tensions anyways....and it would be nice indeed to see ppl following the 'live and let live' principle....these 'ex MN fans' that you refer to.....I think most of them were more than happy following that principle and only expressing themselves thru humor, yet a lot of ppl couldn't digest that sadly and had to blow things out of proportion.

Till the day ppl develop some maturity mentally and a higher EQ, things are invariably going to end up getting difficult in such forums.

At the end of it, it would be nice if ppl could indeed follow that advice of 'live and let live'...to stop preaching to ppl do/not do everything, to let everyone have the freedom of expression.

@divya

i understand your point, the emotions really do run very high.. and they generally run very high when the topic is critical...

I have personally tried to keep my anger, frustration in check and post but maybe have lost it at times if i find personal derogatory remarks... yet i have always behaved as politely as possible...

You see the problem with this forum is that people of various age groups come to discuss this show and their emotional maturity is not same...
we do not know the members in real life so we do not know how to interact with them....

I've noticed that whenever something is criticised it is taken as bashing, and a whole herd to contradictory topics get opened.... that also offends the original topic maker....

at the end of the day i try to remember it is only a virtual forum where we are discussing fictional charaters so things should be taken light....

really nice topic, very beautifully and politely put....

p.s-you forgot to mention me and magarmachhii... now i am feeling very emotional...

Hey Kanky..(ofcourse I'd call u a writer, cos u r one..!!!)
I understand the extreme emotions that run here, cos I feel them sometimes tooo..I only feel, if only we could try and understand other person's POV as much as ours..we would be much better off..😊

And..Which lanhuage is 'Audi Load Hain? ' ..i'll add that to the list 😊

Awesome post Divya!
I agree with you views....and the answer to your question is that no its not necessary....but sometimes you can't help it i guess....when you love someone its possible to develop that kind of attachment........
Saying this, as true fans we should appreciate the good parts of the characters as well as point out the not so good parts so that those can be improved....i guess that's what a loyal fan is: honest and supportive....
Everyone is at different level of maturity and everyone has a right to an opinion....so all i agree with you "live and let live"
Not sure if any of this makes sense....and if i am able to describe my thoughts properly right now....but honey you already know how i feel about MaYur :)

nice post

difficult not to get emotional...... the fact that we r here to discuss and dissect a serial which all of us deep down know is just another bread earning tool for loads of people itself shows how much emotions r involved in them.......... though most of us watch to look beyond our daily boring/ stressful routines. i agree with u when u say the excessive involvement itself makes us lose our relaxed frame of mind which we want out of the serial...

for eg, it took me quite some time to get over the terms malkin- fetch wrt MN after the locket episode though i knew it was only hurt of people when their characters were not being treated properly...i got upset with that...
otherwise personally ive been ok with varying opinions in the forum.. sometimes its even enlightening..
ive been bitten once with over involvement in jassi jaisi koi nahin ...so now im twice no 100 times shy both with the forum and with the serial itself

inspite of which i fell for mn / maynk/ nupur😊
