Dark is Beautiful?

Hi guys

ok here is a questions for everyone. Living in america we have african americans puerto ricans and africans who all dark ( some puerto ricans aren't) But my bugging questions is that why in indian society that we are always looked down upon? why is that the more fairer u are the more beautiful u are? isnt being dark beautiful too?

I am dark but not like saloni dark. To translate that i am the color of caramel honey. But everyone in my family is really fair but my color come from my dad. Its just that why do you always have to be the outcast of the family and not be accepted by everyone? In salonis case she is always depressed because of her color.

So why should we be ignored and not be accepted by everyone?

I don't think it matters, you have to take into consideration features and general glow from good health. I'm really pale, but I have thin skin, really gross in the summer when I wanna wear skirts and my stupid veins show! 😆 😆 😆

I think dark has nothing to do with beautiful.. I have seen that with many friends of mine (dark yet good looking) and they have had many admirers 😆 and have got married to people of their choice and are doing great professionally and personally:-) It basically depends on family I think.. And yes, the colour discrimination exists throughout the world to some extent (though it is slowly changing) - I have seen it here in the US too amongst certain people.. We did have a discussion on this in some other thread. And BTW I find Saloni faaar prettier than Shubhra..

True but at the same time, many look down on dark skinned/black people (not all of them but some)...Hmmm, makes me wonder at such contradictory thoughts of theirs..

I think it is ridiculous to think that dark is not beautiful...are there not beautiful people in Africa?

and what about Americans? people here die to get tanned skin...it's really strange to think that color makes one ugly or pretty

Dark is beautiful....
look at malaika... she doesnt need to be fair to look pretty.. there are multiple egs where tanned skin looks better on screen and off.....

I guess since we were ruled by british , somewhr its in our mind that The Fair The Better....lolz...i am myself finding my theory so funny 😊
