I have participated in many marches protesting the war and have participated in actions by my local ACLU chapter in protesting against Guantanamo Bay since 2003. So I am extremely sympathetic to a legitimate complaint. One of my best friends was getting married to this dude on a student visa and they went back and got married in his own country and then they were going to have a reception in her hometown in California 3 weeks later. He wasn't allowed to come back, and her marriage to the guy she loved had to be delayed for 6 months. I have seen and experienced prejudice. But he couldn't answer simple questions and they were just doing their job. In the end, it is about making sure everything benefits the multitude of citizens, not your bruised ego, to ensure safety of all.

I agree! I wouldn't mind, if they were trying to get the officials to stop detaining the innocent public for long hours, but in that case as you mentioned officials are just doing their job. Though I do see and welcome the other POV. In the matter with SRK he is getting more footage, than the real issue at hand.

So here is what I did this weekend -

Friday - Kaminey with my family and best friend. The movie was AWESOME!!!! IMO, it's definitely a must watch and Shahid's best performance to date. He enacted both Charlie's and Guddu's part perfectly though I loved Charlie more. Priyanka was pretty good too and so were the other side characters. My other favorite character was Mikhail! The guys was so funny and I enjoyed all his scenes with Charlie and Bhope. The movie made me laugh so much right from Charlie's first dialogue from the beginning. I think this movie was worth the wait and it's a different movie. I also liked the soundtrack of the movie with my two favorite songs being Dhan Ta Na and Raat ke Dhai Baje (except in dhan ta na the blue/red lightnings were hurting my eyes but). So far, this is all I want to say about Kaminey, but will add more later as I remember other things. Riya, I think you will defnitely love Kaminey :)
Saturday - Six Flags amusement park all day with a group of friends which was alot of fun.
Sunday - India Day Parade!!!! And OMGGG I saw Jay Sean and he waved right at me and blew me a flying kiss!!! I went insane right there! He was looking so hot and looked me right in the eyes. It was a crazy experience. After the parade I shopped so much from my favorite stores on Times Square and 5th Ave. I can post the parade pics of JS if you guys want.
So this is it - my best weekend ever. Kaminey + Jay Sean + NYC = Shabnam's love/obsession :)

^ I want to watch Kaminey, but it's not playing at the theater close to my house :/ They are playing 'Life Partner' instead.

Is Riya still here? Er.. hope not. I might be forced to watch online. Sorry, Riya.

That sounds great, Shabnam. I am living vicariously through your experiences. Kaminey sounds great. Everyone says Charlie's character is the one to watch out for.:D Glad you got to meet Jay Sean, which is something I know you wanted to do. I bet you were swooning. Six Flags is great; that is good you got some quality fun time. And shopping is always great.:D

BTW does anyone here still watch Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao? The latest news is that Kashmera Shah will be entering the jungle. I'm definitely watching the show now (: I vote for Rakhi to enter as well. We will catch quite a few nice fireworks ;-)

Kennnida is making me laugh right now. Or is at least is no one in the Toronto area playing it? With that huge of a community, I would imagine, but that may be a far drive for you. I can't believe this. They are playing Scoundrels a.k.a. Kaminey at the theater about an hour to a hour and 15 minute drive from my place.

Nimmi, I went crazy and blushed at the flying kiss! I remember not going this crazy when I met Ash, Abhi, or SRK!!

Kashamera Shah in Iss Jungle...? I can't stand her just like Rakhi. Both are attention seeking people. Don't they hate each other though?
SOHA, HI...again.

Nimmi - Yes. My mom refuses to drive me :/ Are you planning to watch it online as well then?

Sure, though let's liveblog tomorrow. This is too late for me and you too I bet. Yeah, she is crazy. Yeah, Shabz their friendship broke over Kash making fun of what Rakhi's assets are made out of on NB2. In Big Boss, they were like best friends.

Shabnam: Yep, they do, hence the fireworks ;-) I don't like her at all either, but I really would like someone to kick Akash's butt. The little that I have seen of him all he does is talk nonstop, gossip and bitch a lot. Anyone catch Shweta Tiwari's blog? She declared that the reason for her exit from the show was due to Akash. I'm not so surprised. I don't like Shweta either, but dislike men that treat women with no respect.
