I would like to take this privilege to wish well for all here on this auspicious occasion.
The theme of this show was LOVE, and involved the worship of Radha and Krishna as a symbol of eternal love.
May the Lord shower his finest blessings on all.

sure,
Janmashtami is the day on which Lord Krishna was born in the prison of his mama Kans from monther Devaki and father Vosudev. Since his father is Vosudev, HE is called VASUDEV. Lord is actually born at midnight.
Kans was a treacherous king, but loved his cousin sister Devkivery much. Kans got Devki married to his friend Vosudev, but on the marriage day there was a divine forecast that Kans would be killed by Devki and Vosudev's eighth son. Hearing this Kans put both of them in prison and one after another killed six sons. When the seventh son was to be born, Lord Narayan tranferred the child from the womb of Devki to the womb of Rohini, Vosudev's first wife miraculously and Kans thought that probably Devki had a miscarriage. This seventh son was Balram, the incarnation of Sheshnaag, and was Laxman in the Ramayan era.
Next when it was time for the eighth child, that particular night, there was tremendous thunderstorms, everyone fell asleep including Devki and Vosudev was awake and was instructed by Lord himself that He is taking birth from Devki's womb, and thereafter Vosudev should take Him to Nandgaon in Gokul beyond Yamuna river and in that village, Mukhiya Nand will alsohave a daughter. Vosudev should exchange the daughter with Devki's and his eighth son, that is Lord Himself, and bring the daughter back to the prison. Miraculously all prison doors opened and Vosudev did as he was instructed. When Kans came to know next day, a girl is born, he still wanted to kill her and as soon as he was to smash the child's head, She slipped from his hand and took the form of Devi Durga and told Kans that the child who is going to kill him is still alive.
Literature also says, that mother Devki was actually Kaikayee in the Ramayan era when Lord Narayan took Ram avatar. Kaikayee while repenting wanted Lord to be born from his womb in His next birth, so He took birth from her. But since Kaikayee separated Mother Kaushalya and Ram for fourteen years, Krishna stayed with Mother Yashoda (who was Kaushalya before) for fourteen years and came to back to Devki again after that. This is an example of ones "Karamfal" and shows that everyone has to bear the fruit of Karma. But Lord is ever merciful, He took birth from Kaikayee to respect her wish.
The Lord's life is full of adventures, starting from his birth, thereafter killing lots of demons and eventually was the one who settle good over evil in Kurukshetra with the Pandavas.

Wonderful reply and in great detail. I liked it a lot, gave me great insight into the holy Mahabharatha. You are really well read.
