Bollywood gossip: Flat-out discrimination

Emraan Hashmi, has caused a stir again - this time not for his reputation as a serial kisser in his movies, but for strong political statements.

Emraan called a press conference and with his godfather filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt at his side, declared that he was being victimised in buying a flat in Mumbai because he was a Muslim.

Emraan said the owners had even told him that he could have the flat if he registered it in the name of his Hindu wife, but he refused to be party to this kind of discrimination. Emraan alleged that this type of discrimination against the Muslim minority in India was rife all across India, and had reported the matter to authorities, as it is legally prohibited.

Awww I love Emran. Hope everything works out for him. If him as a rich celebrity is being treated like this then Ma heart goes out to all those regular muslims walking on the Mumbai streets.

well, this is old news... the matter has been resolved... now, he is allowed to buy a home in that complex... 😕

but yeah, discrimation does happen... not exactly openly but discreetly... apparently, one person from the communtiy told emraan that the basis for refusal was because he was a muslim... even though, there are muslims in that complex... i don't know... it's strange... but yeah, i don't think he would lie about something like that... but i also feel that the community people were a bit irresponsible as well...

anyways, glad it has all been taken care of...!

Wow you are worried about all the muslims in Mumbai now?? My brother was denied a flat in one building in out home town because it was a total Jain community and we eat non-veg.. now tell me which card he should use? Minority?? Majority?? Hindu discrimination?? Which one?

BTW this is an old news.. the matter has been solved now.. Emraan said that society never denied him a flat actually it was his broker who told him that they have denied him a flat because he is a muslim 😕 so it was a matter of miscommunication. To me it was cheap way to be in news..🤢

This is not an old story this has been said by him today can you check the date on the topic !! That was my reason on putting the date as well so that I knew that some people will say that this is a old story !! Statements like these come out everyday !! This is the latest friends !! nothing can be denied these days !! BTW thanks alot for your comments !!😕 If the article is read properly then you can see it states clearly he has stirred up another issue !! Now he has started to stirup things between the two communities Hindu and muslims !! Who are living in harmony and together for years !! Most of the actors are muslims brothers who are living with most of the hindu communites and are great friends like SRK & Hithek Roshan !! Most of the actress in olden days were muslims like Madhubala, Nargis, Suraiya, Noorjahan, and not forgetting even Sunil Dutt married Nargis and Sanju Baba their son with two daughters !! Please stop saying things against any community we all are human being first then anything else !! Humanity comes first then anything !! No hard feelings or offence to any religion or community we are all Hindustanis first then anything else !! 🤗

umm, just because some journalist recycles the same old story does not mean the news is NEW... and since this has been RESOLVED, that would classify this as old news...!!

they just took the old story and printed it again with today's date... honestly, this i call irresponsible journalism... why bring up the old issue again and again... if he had to print something, at least they should've printed the latest update...! 🤔
