She is a young, beautiful, nave, shy village girl'the apple of her mother's eye and her world revolves around her mother.
She is pure,Kind, always ready to help everyone at the cost of her own work also.
She is a simple sober girl, who unlike other young girls of her age doesn't like dressing up too much.
Her mother always tells her to dress up just a bit, but Dhaani doesn't listen to her.
Her natural beauty is such that it does not leave any need for any artificial make up.
Amber likes her simplicity. She is very proficient at all household work and is very happy with her mother in their small house.
She does not dream of big houses or the other luxuries of life.
She helps her mother in decorating hand-made dolls'which they sell in weekly shaniwari haat' their main source of livelihood 'Dhaani is scared of darkness and cannot sleep alone.
She is scared of horses'she has a habit of drinking milk in the morning, as they have a cow in their house.
She is allergenic to rose and rose itara whereas Amber is very fond of these' After her mother's death she prays to her mother's baal gopal everyday and wherever se goes she takes the bal gopal with her.

He is a young, handsome well educated young boy. He runs his father Badrinarayan's sugar mill. He respects and loves his father Badrinarayan a lot and thinks whatever he is today is because of him. His father also loves him the most out of all his children and listens to everything his son says. On one hand everyone is scared of Badrinarayan whereas Ambar is the only one who is not scared of him and is the only one who has the guts to say what he wants in front of his father.
Ambar respects women a lot. He does not believe in the old reeti riwaaz that go against the rights of women and always raises his voice against them. He is very sensitive and can't see anyone in pain or trouble and he tries to help them in every way he can.
His hobbies & nature- He is very finicky about his ironed clothes'and hates even a slight crease in his clothes. he makes Bui (te old servant) iron his clothes again before wearing'He is also choosy about the way his tea is made'and Bui is the only one who can manage his things'not even his mother.
