May the salutations be unto the mother. The pain experienced by her at the time
of delivery, the emaciation or the body becoming thin during pregnancy, the year
long sharing of the bed made dirty by the child, none of these miserable
experiences endured by the mother during pregnancy and thereafter can in any
manner be compensated even by a great son.
I want to quote one incident of Mahabharat here..........When Duryodhan's mother Gandhari asks him to take bath and come in front of her as if he was a new born baby..........i.e being naked..............when he takes bath and is on his way to see his mom.........Krishna approaches Duryodhan and provokes him saying how can he go to Mother like this........so, he gets confused and wraps a leaf around his waist..........when Gandhari opens her blindfold and "sees "Duryodhan for the first time........his entire body becomes so strong like Vraj........but the only part i.e waist down near the thighs are very vulnerable, since her drishti does not falls on that area........so, in the battle of Mahabharat, when Bheem is unable to defeat him., Krishna indicates to injure him on his thigs..........coz, even Lord Krishna does not go against Maa's Ashirvaad........Bheem attacks the thighs.....and rest is history....................
Take home Moral is, even God respects Maa's ashirvaad...................
