Yes, in some parts of southern India marriage between maternal uncle and niece is allowed but nowhere is it legal in the rest of India, it is actually considered incest. It is illegal in Gujarat - thats why DM-Santo cannot remain married if they are uncle-niece and Hiten-Khemi cannot get married it they are first cousins, so since the show is based in Gujarat, these relationships are not possible.

Kanji seemed to be genuine guy.. I dont think he'd cheat Moti B.. Then why did Moti-B leave her own child? Doesn't make sense.. 😕
