if he a yogi then he should leave the rules to society and concentrate on their tapasaya.
and last but not the least if u say actress are like this and that then even we know what sort of character these so called dhongi babas have.

Since when does a passion for yoga mean leaving the whole world and only praying?!😕
Sai baba was a baba but he didn't leave the world did he? Your 100% right when you say he stayed away from the external world for a good few years! But it most definitely wasn't for his whole life, otherwise he would have no adopted mother/brother/father etc😉and there would be no sai baba stories!
Call him what you want sandya but have a little bit of respect and try to avoid calling him a dhongi please! Please do not forget at the end of the day, he has not cured hundred, not thousands but MILLIONS of people who are indebted to him forever and ever. And anyone who watched aastha tv channel would know that! Whatever you guys might call those people 'actors' or people who are bribed to say these things on tv but God forbid you have a relative or know someone who has been through some sort of disease etc and they get cured simply by following Ramdev Baba's yoga then you yourself will know who is a dhongi and who isn't!
I am not gonna lie, when he comes to the UK, I know people who love to watch him so much that they are prepared to pay the 500+ he charges just for attending the camp! But these people would not go if they hadn't been cured.😳Plus I have no idea where the money goes I cannot comment but neither can anyone else cos the money is said to go in Aastha foundation and some other charity which I cannot remember the name of as of now.😕
To be honest, the only reason i wouldn't support Celina Jaitley is if what Baba said was not true. Judging from one's lifestyle/mannerism/personality on tv/films, we as the viewers can just judge someone from what we get to see and what I see i don't like.

Well said, Sarina. I think you have summed up the entire argument pretty well with that post of yours. If he indeed is what people are saying him to be, then he must be a good person. If he had indeed saved the lives of millions of people, curing 'diseases', then I would hold him into high respect. However, that doesn't mean that I would / am going to tolerate things that goes against humane morality. His comments on "curing" gays is laughable, and the comments he had thrown at Celina is just plain obnoxious.

Other than this aspect, I have nothing against him if he is a good person indeed.

Also, why all of a sudden? Why is it, that the moment Celina stood up for gay rights had she been accused of 'having no morals'?

On the contrary, she did refute each and every single accusations that had been thrown at her (not only the ones from Ram Dev Baba), with valid and logical points.

No offence but her comebacks really weren't all that😆
And I wasn't singling out celina purposely, the topic was related to celina and ramdev so I mentioned her lifestyle. I would've done the same for any other actress.

Baba Ramdev is not perfect, but he definitely is the better of the lot. My grandmother and other family members are quite a big fan of his and watch his programming regularly. From what I have seen Baba Ramdev is quite intelligent, knowledgeable and spiritual. A large portion of advice and remedies he gives is pretty good. Yoga is very effective and is a combination of physical and mental exercise that keeps a person fit. The benefits of Yoga are scientifically proven. Herbal medicine is also effective. As a matter of fact modern products came from herbal remedies, where they extract the active chemical from a plant or natural source that performs a function. He does have a certain amount of good information and spiritual guidance. So if he wants to preach it and people want to follow so be it. Totally agree with u 👏

However, he is no super human or flawless. Many of the times he goes overboard and some of his cures and suggestions seem to be ridiculously flawed. Actually, I would have considered him a respectable person till until recently. It is frowned upon for any human being to make judgments or pass comments on another person's personal life be it sex life or anything else. Anyone who wants to be a spiritual or religious leader is held to a higher standard. The kind of comments and judgments he made about Celeina just dropped his respect level and credibility way down for me. ..same here even im shocked

As a citizens of India both Celina and Baba Ramdev have the right to voice their opinion on what the law ought to be. As influential people they both have the right to sway people towards their opinion. But none have the right to make personal attacks against each other. Then ultimately the Supreme Court has to decide what its final decision is. That's why we have courts ' to settle disputes. 👏..very well said

This is a landmark decision for South Asia which I fully support. But I am not Indian really so I should be more like IOOOOWAAAA!!!. Anyway, this will be interesting how the courts further interpret this. For if homosexuality is legal, it could automatically make gay marriage legal. India is in a unique place where we have separate marriage acts based on religion. The special marriage act which is the more secular one for interreligious and special cases has no restrictions. In fact special marriage act even allows for gay marriage the only caveat so far being that the consummation would have been illegal. It depends how Hindus interpret the Hindu marriage act ' for there are progressive Hindu communities and religious leaders supporting gay marriage, and Hinduism is not really organized based on the directive of leaders but more on what people choose to follow. Legal caveats and complications are always fun.

wonderful post once again RTH

Well i am not at all surprise with what has happen
cause when something different happen its always religious people
come foreword and oppose without understanding the emotional aspect of
the subject..they think they have authority to pass judgment
they got this misconception they are messengers of god
if gay people get marry or adopt kids
they are paying tax on time and follow law of the country
whats the problem of
of anyone? i just don"t get it 😕
thats all. LGBT community asking let them live happily with there partner
whats the dam business of anyone
they are not killing people
or causing riots ...by giving them rights
no one gonna get effected ....they can also live peacefully
and happily with the person they love ...why these religious authority and
few who don"t have any idea how sensitive the issue is passing judgment on
the subject amazing..

omg! How can we not give gay people their rights? Gays are people just like us straights. sorry for my word usage. anyways, that is how I will refer to them. ANyways, omg. Straight people are born straight and gays cant help that they are gay. they have a natural attraction for the member of their own gender. Same with us straights who have an attraction - NATURAL - towards members of the opposite gender. When I see a hot guy, my heart races. Its natural as opposed to what people think, that gay people choose to be gay. ANd they can if they want, but its science. Gay people are born with a hormone that makes them attracted to the same gender.
If straight people can marry straight people. And black can marry white. And indian can marry white/black/etc. Then why can a man marry the one whom he loves? a man? And a woman marry the one she loves? a woman? It is not right and it is a denial of human rights. LET PEOPLE DO WHAT THEY WANT> IT IS THE ANSWER TO ALL PROBLEMS>
Anyways, why do people really care about the actions of others? i think we should let them THINK FOR THEMSELVES.

Are you talking about Celina?

Err ... I do not think you got me correct, or maybe I wasn't clear enough. I wasn't talking about you; that statement was directed at Ram Dev Baba. My question was, while there are over hundreds of other actors/actresses in the Bollywood following the same lifestyle as Celina, why is Ram Dev Baba singling out only Celina, then? Furthermore, why is she [Celina] being pinpointed out the moment she stood up for gay rights? Not that her lifestyle were different before her stand up.

I would like to clarify, other than that, I've nothing against Ram Dev Baba.

Err ... well, while I'm no fan of religious fanatics, I think your statement was a bit generalized (and watch out! We have many of them around here 😆). Not all religious people are against new changes, neither does all religious people stick to old, traditional way of life. It might sound difficult to digest, but I know of a couple of very pious Muslims and Christians (haven't come across a Jew yet) who are all for legalizing gay marriage in their respective countries, stating that the judgment should occur between the creator and the creation - and none should have the right to judge another fellow human being except for the creator Himself. We have Jew/Christian/Muslim people who are trying to reconcile religion and one's sexuality on the same frame, as well.

Not pinpointing at anyone, but I feel homophobia exists due to one's own insecurities. People who are absolutely secured about their own sexuality and life do not oppose anything against homosexuality or homosexuals - even if they are religious, because they know that a fellow individual living his life the way he wants isn't going to be a cause of earthquake or tsunami. It is our own insecurities which makes us prejudiced and discriminatory.
