Priyanka goes pop!

Priyanka Chopra is teaming up with UK-based pop star of Indian origin Jay Sean who is coming up with a new album that will have Piggy Chops sizzle in a music video specially shot for one of his tracks. After Hrs has learnt that the sassy actress has been a big fan of the English singer and has been bonding with him big time recently.

What's more, they share such a good comfort and trust level that the actress actually gave a nod to Jay Sean's offer to rope her in for the video on Twitter without going into the fine print of the contract, without discussing her fee for the groovy act or when and how will it be shot (see Twitter chat).

A source close to Priyanka reveals, "Priyanka is a big R&B fan and she has been following Jay Sean closely over the years and grooving to his music. She was shooting in Hyderabad and she got to know that Jay was performing there and that there was a big concert happening. She made it a point that she wrapped up her shoot in time and got tickets for the show."

The insider adds, "Priyanka got the VIP enclosure and when Jay Sean got to know that she was there especially for his show, he made it a point to meet her and spend some quality time even during the performance. Jay was supposed to close his performance with his hit single Ride It but he got to know that Priyanka had to leave early as she had an early morning flight to catch. He changed the format of his show and sung the song halfway through the performance just because Priyanka loved the song. Since then, they have always been in touch and are active friends in the virtual world. Now he has roped her in for his music video."

Admits Priyanka when After Hrs contacted her, "It's been fun twittering. I love R&B music and I enjoyed his last album a hell of a lot," she laughs.
