Coimbatore audition is being telecast this week. Could not watch fully on Monday and Tuesday as I was watching Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009 in Zee tamil. Saw few minutes in between. In case some of you have watched kindly give the details.

Three rounds of Coimbatore auditon is over and they have selected 21 contestants from Coimbatore. Satyanarayana from Little Masters, Jaya TV is one of the selected contestants. Next week would be Trichy auditions.

Last three days, Trichy initial audition is being telecast. Yesterday, 6 children were selected and the balance would be selected today. Quality is very average. Let us see today.

Final stage audition of Chennai was telecast during the week. Some of the very good singers are Srinidhi, Alka Ajit, Sasin Prabhu, Srinisha, Sowmya, Surya, Priyadarshini, Monissha, Manasvini, Oviya, Yazini. There were two excellent performance this week :

Monissha sang Thooduhu varuma and Rasave unnai enni. She showed her versatility and will definitely be in top 10.

At the end of the week they have selected 57 contestants from Chennai even though they were announcing they would select only 15 from Chennai. At the end of this round there are in all 97 contestants ( 57 from Chennai, 21 from Coimbatore and 19 from Trichy). Roshan and Bala Sarang have directly moved into studio - direct entry to top 30.

27 - 29 July 2009

The competition is getting tougher. This week all the contestants were supposed to dress to bring in the mood of the song. It was a fashion show cum singing. Good performances by Alka, Monissha, Sathyanarayana, Soundarya, Srinisha , Priyanka, Sowmya, Srinidhi, Prasanna Sunder and many more. Monissha's partha nyabagam illaye was very good. Judges suggested felt that there should be more force in the song and immediately Monissha understood and gave a very good performance. Her grasping was very good. Priyanka sang well and judges told her to bring her mother who taught her this song. She came and was reqested to sing the same song Kannan enge. She sang well. In my opinion Alka and Monissha would a long way in this show. Srikanth, young boy is singing without fear. Finally they have selected 45 contestants till date. The best dressed contestants were given MP3 player.

This week 45 selected contestants are singing and also supposed to show their special talent for one minute. However, selection is going to based on the singing only. Some of the good performances and spot selected contestants of the week are :

Sowmya – Munbe vaa En Anbe vaa - Good Performance. Did not do any special talent..

Manisha - Mudhal naal indru was good and the special performance she did the magic and won the DVD player.

Satya Naryana – Endan nenjil Neethan - Sang well and was finding difficult in the lower notes. Special performance was mimicry of Kamalahassan – Naidu & Patti from Dasavatharam and did quite well and won DVD player.

Monissha – sang Katril endan geetham from Johnny. She sang extremely well and sounded very professional. Shalini was saying she is one of the best singers of the show. Special Talent – Hosting – Did a superb job and Monissha said she got inspritation from DD. Unni Menon was saying Monissha vatcha DD iqqu aappu. Monissha did a fantastic job. I think Monissha is going to be the future Chinamayi – who can handle both singing and hosting at ease. Spot Selected and won DVD player.

Srinidhi – Kundu Manga thoppukule – Voice was very good for this song. Mahathi said srinidhi is one of the good singers of the show. Singing – Spot Selected. She played Casio

Madhumathi – Swasame Swasame – Sang well. Played Veena and got spot selected and won DVD Player.

Sharath – Nama ooru singari – Good performance. Spot selected.

At the end of the week, 37 contestants were selected for the next round.
