L'Oreal held guilty of racial prejudice
Discover The Range Of L'Oral Paris Beauty Products With Aishwarya
In a shocking disclosure, French cosmetic giant L'Oreal has been held guilty of racial discrimination in its hiring policy. According to the latest news, French High Court finds L'Oreal guilty of racism based on its hiring policy.
According to the verdict, L'Oreal is found guilty of advertising its primary products endorsed only by white women.

Incidentally, the judgment comes as a significant blow to the world's biggest cosmetic giant, whose lavish advertisement campaigns include global stars like Claudia Schiffer, Eva Longoria, Andie MacDowell and Eva Longoria. In India, Aishwarya Rai and Sonam Kapoor are the faces of L'Oreal.

Last year, L'Oreal drew flak for lightening Beyonce Knowles's skin tone for an advertisement.

wowww.... not surprising at all....
discrimation is the order of the day among some of the top companies in the West, unfortunately... even in the US and Canada...
and French are known for it, though i don't personally have experience in France, so can't say more on it for sure...

I agree Sanam. But why single out West only. It happens everywhere. We South- East Asians are no better. We discriminate based off of religion, cast, creed and looks. Minorities are always discriminated against (arguably).

Taking a closer look---everywhere is the same.

yes, it exists almost everywhere... can't deny that...
but most big companies here can be extremely racist in their hiring... although, it may not be that apparent here... however, in south-east, it has more to do with who comes from a more influential background and who has the best contacts....!
and discrimation against religion and looks specially, that happens everywhere... mostly, older generation is more privy but it's sad to also see some younger generation being influenced by it...!!
overall, it is more prevalant in the west, i would say... sad, but true... however, not everyone is like that...! possibly because west is more influencial... 😕

True that. But I do believe, with GenX, it'll be less apparent and as the West gets more heterogeneous.
