Director Rohit Shetty gets the angle right

A couple of days ago the under-construction Pune-Bangalore expressway bore the brunt of flying wheels, cars turning turtle and some high-speed chases.

Turned out to be a film shoot for Ashtavinayak Cinevision Limited's Golmaal — Fun Unlimited directed by Rohit Shetty.

The film stars Ajay Devgan, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi, Paresh Rawal, Sushmita Mukherji and Rimii Sen.

"We have incorporated this elaborate car race sequence," explains Shetty, "which involves some high thrills. All the main actors participated in the shoot."

The movie, as the title itself implies, is a fun film about four friends who are con men.

"They take part in the race, too, by conning the organisers. They are at the wheels of stolen cars. In their hot pursuit, there is some high drama along the way," adds Shetty.

The action sequences were done by Jaisingh.

"We have shot 75 per cent of the film. Only a few scenes and the song picturisation remains," adds Shetty.

Golmaal, produced by Dhilin Mehta, is slated for a June release.
