From the frying pan to the fire is Laali's case, aaj ki do baatein....
1: When Shekhar offered money, Laali did not accept and now a wrong kind of woman has done a favour to her and ensured Laali is grateful enough for her favour. Well Laali you will be extremely lucky if you can escape from her, if not caught by Baali....now I feel Baali is a better option as he will ensure Laali's safe return to the Haveli, to our Shekhar and of course our Thakur
2: I loved the scene Laali overhearing her parents' interaction with Baali, how helpless they were and yes they have sold her...her faith on her father was shattered, the safest destination for any girl at any given point of time was snatched away by just two words 'bech diya'.....yes my friends that is the reality even today, many parents do still want to escape or is forced to sell their daughter not only to the likes of Baali but also to an institution called marriage......many married girls today cannot return to their maayeka for they know they are not wanted or welcomed there, the social stigma, the monetary position, the helplessness of the parents, sibling rivalry, the reason can be many but the truth is same....
Jate jate, yes now it is clear why the Dai wants Laali's exit from the house, the end of Laali, she wants to see her daughter in her place but want kind of mother is she, apne beti ko rakhail banana chahati hai......whereas Laali's mother was forced to sell her daughter, this woman is willing to trade her daughter for her position which will no doubt improve if her daughter becomes somebody in the Haveli....
Last but not the least.....this is the journey of womanhood my friends, still the story of many innocent girls, leaving aside the Thakur's antics (though I missed him today) I can say today's episode showed the stark reality of our society, east or west....love Tin
