God I'll never the understand how these filmmakers operate. They'd rather spend money on teaching a non-actress how to act than pluck a real talent outta the street. Katrina thinks dubbing is tough? No wonder, she can hardly act. Regardless, I don't begrudge this girl's career.....she has mouths to feed afterall, and this is a much respectable job than what she did before Gustad picked her.
Her hindi has improved a lot, that I have noticed. But she does need to work on her dialogue delivery. Not related to this but I still can't get over her chemistry with John. If there wasn't a Salman Khan or Bipasha Basu in the picture, I would have wanted to see off-screen sparks as well.

^ i don't get the whole "she's working cuz she has mouths to feed" business, how many dependent siblings does she have? and the adult ones can't they go get a job themselves? and her mom's a psychiatrist and they live in UK, i can understand paying for their education etc, but srsly University fees would just be a tiny fraction of what she earns
i think it was just an excuse to justify her stripping before Salman came to her rescue as a knight in shining armor
I totally agree.. cant her other siblings work for themselves , are they all seriously dependent over her.. i didnt know her mom is a psychiatrist, that job makes a alot..lolOriginally posted by: plasticpolaroid

Yea i don't get it either, everyone keeps saying how she had mouths to feed, so I just chimed in.đ And I've heard this girl had a pretty tough life in London and rumor is that the Brithish mom, Kashmiri dad angle is just a story weaved. They say she does not have a drop of Indian blood. But who knows.....its just gossip. Could be could not be true. StrangeKoizakapoor, I understand you are her fan. But I disagree with you that no actress comes knowing acting. That is totally false. Nandita Das, Konkona Sen, Chitragandha Singh were fabulous in their first movies itself. You could not even tell they were first timers. Sure, Katrina has language problem, but for how long is she going to use the same excuse? She debuted in 2003 and its 2009 now. That is 6 years! I say its time for BS to be over. She's had enough time to learn and I have not seen her improve. I mean she cannot even carry a bimbette chamak challo role properly. Its nice all these filmmakers are giving her the time of the day, but this is not fair to the rest who can actually act.
