Preet to die post leap?

According to a source, "The show will be taking a leap of five years. There won't be many changes in the characters but yes, some new faces will be introduced. Secondly, post leap, Meher's husband Preet will die."

However, when Indya contacted Sushant he seemed to be surprised and unaware of this fact. He said, "This is news to me! I know that show is taking a leap, but I did not know that my character would be dying! I am still shooting for the show. If my character does die post the leap, I am going to miss my team!
