I've always found the book better than the movies. Its cause the book has all the detail and you can visual it yourself, while in the movies, some parts are maybe left out or not shown as how the book described it.

books are better than most of their movie version, but thats because its very difficult for the mvoeies to live up to the expectations of the books they are adapted from as they are very popular hence their being made into a film, then theres all the time constraints because its hard to make all the best parts of the book to be in the film because most english films are like 2-2 and half hours long, so its pretty much impossible to for a movie to be better than the book but it is enough if the movie does justice to the book with the right actors being cast and the most important parts being kept in the movie like for example the first harry potter movie was a pretty good adaptation of the book because the actors chosen for the roles were pretty much all perfect and most of the key events were in the film. the only exceptions i can thing of where the film has been better than the book is slumdog millionaire, because even though the book was good and interesting i think the way they changed the story in the film was better because the original story in the film would not have kept peoples interest as much.

Books are definitely better than the movies but I am sure each of us is guilty of watching the movie-version of our favourite book even if we think acting is sub-par or the plot or characterization is way off.😆😳

it actually depends on a person ,some people just dont have the patience to read abook so they for the movie, but said and done books are alwas a notch higher than movies ,in movies you cant give every detail in 3 hrs in books everything is detailed, and reading books also increases your knowledge but films just act as mere entertainers.
