Ranbir Kapoor's mystery!

In 2006, all eyes will be on Raj Kapoor's grandson Ranbir, who was supposedly being launched by Yash Raj Films.

But his father Rishi Kapoor said: "No, this is not correct, he is not being launched by Yash Raj Films." When probed about who would present his son, Rishi said: "Actually we are working on it right now."

He refused to say anything more on the subject. Ranbir's debut vehicle is being kept under wraps. Like his cousins Karisma and Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir is not debuting under the RK banner, one of the most prestigious and prolific in Indian filmdom.

"I don't have a subject ready right now and that's why I am not in a position to launch my son. Otherwise I would have done it," said Rishi when asked him why he isn't continuing the family tradition started by his father Raj Kapoor.

Ranbir studied filmmaking at the School of Visual Arts and acting at the Lee Strassberg Institute, both in New York. One of the eagerly awaited star kids in Bollywood, he assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali in his critically acclaimed film "Black".
