That has to be a blooper because nothing makes sense. If the show made a big deal about gehna being pregnant at a young age nothing of that sort has been referred in the serial. I mean suguna being physically ready to have the baby. All the fuss is about maan maryada, ghar ki izzat. And exactly your point if shyam is younger than Gehna who is suppose to be what 18yrs age how old is shyam and is he old enough to take responsibility and what is his educational background at this young age. I mean even if he is super intelligent you got to be 18 or 19 to graduate from college. I had a laugh when shyam said to Gehna that tai sa aap humse bade hai. so how come gahana pregnency is complicated as she is very young as shown in serial and shugana pregnency is not complicated as she is younger than ghana.so what the age of ghana and shugana in the serial.if ghana is very young in pregnenecy than shugana is also very much young in pregnency.

Shyam is supposed to be 18 or 19 as per vikrants interview in which he was questioned abt the character he is playing in BV and more commonly he is a graduate so he has to be 18 or 19. And i guess sugna is 17 coz i remember that bhairon had wanted prataps family to wait for a few months so that sugna turns 18 before gauna.
There were no complicacies in gehna's case. She was only physically weak to concieve a baby but sugna is physically fit.
Yes i think the dialgue meant gehna being badi as in being sugna's tai sa and the respect is meant in that connection. Cos the character shyam is supposedly 18/19 as mentioned in articles.
