She is also supposed to be a girl on the threshold of teenagehood , because she's twelve years in age , from what she told Abhishek Bachchan in the 2nd October episode , and , more conclusively , she has had her periods.
When , by all instances , Anandi is shown to be growing up physically , and when she's already so sharp mentally , how come , why is she made to behave as if she has the IQ of a not-so-agile jellyfish ?
Everytime some crisis happens , that is , everytime the crisis is not focussed on her or her and Jagya , this behaviour of hers becomes more marked . Obviously , because the creatives know that she and Jagya , they're the real attractions of the show , and so when the focus is on the other characters , they need to show them in some way or the other , and so they've hit upon this particular formula . How engaging 🥱
If she'd asked the same questions " Sasu-maa , bataiye na , yeh sab kya ho raha hai , sab itne gusse mein kyun hai " so on and so forth before the marriage , it'd have been acceptable . After all , she was only eight at that time [ though she didn't look it 😛 ] . But now , it's wholly unacceptable . People grow up with advancing years , not only physically , but mentally as well , but in Anandi's case , only the HGH seems to be active . I would have thought , with the tension in the household so palpable , she'd have refrained from all these questions , but no . Perceptiveness is a word alien to her dictionary .
I could have explained away her behaviour saying " But she's a little slow" , but , like I already said , her schoolwork speaks otherwise. I don't get it , what are the creatives doing ? In their own way , trying to enforce the stereotype that academically sharp people are dumbos in real life ? I take that as a personal offence X (
Jagdish is so much more perceptive than her , he understands that there's tension in the family , and more importantly , also understands that he'd do well to stay away from it . I dunno , either Anandi doesn;t see that there's tension , or she doesn't see that she'd better stay away from it . Not only that , Sugna will lash out at her and unleash all her frustration on her [ Anandi ] but still , she [ Anandi ] won't think bad of Sugna for it . Now , if this behaviour came from Tulsi Maiyya , I'd have understood it 🥱 but a twelve year old girl isn't supposed to be such a sati-savitri . No way .
If she has reallyyy had her periods , and if she's really growing up , she should become a bit more quiet , at least , if not more quiet , she should have more perceptiveness at least . Jagdish's behaviour is so much more understandable , he's moody , throws frequent tantrums , and is usually brusque with everybody. But Anandi , no . She continues to behave like a NSA-jellyfish , and I continue to shake my head with frustration at her , and myself , for still caring about the show .
