Kapoor says that she plans to gift herself something really different on this birthday. "I want to gift myself a good diet plan which will make me keep myself healthy and fit."
The lady also says she is expecting something special from her mom on her birthday " I am expecting a gift from my mom, last year she gifted me a car, let's see what she gifts me this year" says Ekta smilingly.
"I will live every moment like it's the last, smile as much as I would do if I was watching a Charlie Chaplin movie. I promise not to bother myself about small things in life and set a larger picture of every single thing"
Ekta Kapoor was born on 7th June 1975. Her career started from Hum Paanch and from then her career took a great high when her most famous television venture started with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in 2000 which went on successfully for eight years. Since then, the show has continuously been among the top rated programs on Indian television. After that, nearly all of her shows started with 'K' and went on for a long time. These included Kasamh Se, Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kasauti Zindagi Kay, Karam Apna Apna, Kayamath, Kasturi and many others.
Her Bollywood career includes producing movies like Kya Kool Hain Hum, Krishna Cottage, Kuch Toh Hai, Koi Aapsa and many others and also co-produced some like Shootout at Lokhandwala, Mission Istanbul and Golmaal Returns.
She signs off inviting all of us for the big birthday bash, "Like every year, it will be after one month on 10th July where all of you are invited. Please do come"
Indya wishes you a very Happy Birthday Ekta, and we promise to be there for the gala event!
Many in the entertainment industry (including the media of course) have been worrying themselves with thoughts of Ekta Kapoor's wedding. Will she? Won't she? Why won't she? Unlike actresses, the thinking goes, Ekta should have no problems managing career with marriage. So what's causing the delay.
Ekta turns 35 next year and brother Tusshar, who is a year younger and also unmarried and unlinked to any girl, said Ekta had not found the right partner and was waiting for that special person to arrive. In view of that, he said, she would definitely not be getting married this year.
Asked about his sister's 'link-up' with Karan Johar, another enigmatic unmarried and unlinked personality, Tusshar brushed it off saying that the two were great friends and both successful in their own way. They were friends, he added, because they shared much in common, but a desire to get married to each other was not one of them.
Unfortunately, Ekta's professional life is also in the doldrums. Star replaced her big 'K' serials with other shows and her company hasn't been performing as well as it used to eight years ago when she had more than three dozen shows on air, many of them super-successful.
Currently, Ekta's company has these shows on air: Kis Des Mein Hai Mera Dil and Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna (Star Plus), Aane Ko Hai (Colors), Bandini and Kitani Mohabbat Hai (NDTV Imagine) and Pavitra Rishta, which launched on Zee TV this week.
As she struggles to put her company back into the forefront of television once again, her well-wishers and fans will definitely be hoping that she sorts out her life partner soon as well.
