Can someone shed some light whether children suffering from Autism are so unaffected by emotions? for eg. like Antara doesnt find her mother yet she is able to overcome her absence? why isnt Antara asking for her mother? Even today when she leaves with her father-Adi who is a stranger to her, still she quietly goes? She may not be able to express her needs but surely she understands known from unknown? Do such children understand caring and fending? As Anu's voice had shared that Antara loved mathematics and it was shown that she answered to her teacher correctly, does it imply that the numerical and analytical ability isnt affected? Antara has been shown to express what she wants like ice cream, her mobile etc, how is able to express these when the disorder hampers the same?
Thanks

Well, from what I've read about autism, it seems like they have one particular area of interest, like in Antara's case, she's really good at math, and they only focus on that particular item of interest. They have really bad verbal communication and trouble interacting with people and making friends. Autistic people usually are rather lost in their own world and don't respond emotionally to anything. Also, Antara's habit of repeating small phrases is quite normal.

I'm not an expert on the subject, but this is what I read on this website:

an autistic mind does only responds and relates to concepts. love hatered or any other emotion can never be a part of their mind.simply said if you dont have word on you computer you cant use it. concepts and ideas which are natural to us need to be fed into an autistic mind. It it a time consuming process and it might take a month for them to relate and understand the concept of a mug or a glass. if not brought into regular practise they would forget. Yet at the same time they have an incredible ability to focus. bill gates is autistic if i am correct he suffered from aspergers which is a milder version or level of autism

I have a younger brother is autistic. He was born normal but by the age of 3, high fever hit him and since then he has been his autistic self. People like him aren't so interested in what we normal people chase after like money, power etc. They prefer living in their own world.
There are many types of autistic people.
The category my brother falls in is mild. He talks, but not fluently. He takes times to answer a question if asked. Antara on the other hand, is different. She is smarter from my brother. (Learn something from that girl you lil' boy 😆)
Btw AKA has yet to air where I stay, so im thinking Antara doesn't talk much and lives in her own world. A creative one she is from what I have seen from the promos. Autistic children need to learn to be independent and what angers them is interruption. Each child follows its system, more like time-table. If you try to interrupt them they might become upset or worse, violent at some cases. I guess Antara is not in those category and nor is my brother :)
Yet again, all autistic children need love to grow with. The only sad thing is, there is no 100% cure for autism :(

Thanks Mona for sharing your personal experience. How old is your brother now? What helped him more Medicines or behavioral interventions? Did u attend any intervention. ( Just asking for knowledge, pl dont mind😳). I do hope and wish that your brother's autism symptoms improve with treatment and age and he grows up to lead normal or near-normal live.
In the show they havent shown what level/degree of Autism Antara has, probably it will be milder. Hope they show Vid+Adi going to the Doc and getting the symptoms diagnosed. Its a small step by Zee but in the right direction.
