"Aishwarya and I have received invitations from a university in Germany. I have already contacted Ash's manager Hari Singh to check her schedule. He will confirm if Ash can take out time for the visit," says filmmaker Jagmohan Mundhra.
At the university, Aishwarya is expected to speak about women empowerment and domestic abuse, which was the theme of Mundhra's 2006 film Provoked . The film underlines the issue of marital violence and abusive husbands.
"Aishwarya will share her experience of acting in my film. I am sure the university must have given her a detailed subject line for the talk. A screening of Provoked will also take place at the institution," says Mundhra.
The invitation for Ash comes soon after Amisha got an offer to be a part- time professor at Tufts University, Boston. The actress was offered to teach drama and share her real- life experiences as an actress in Bollywood.
Amisha, who declined the offer, says she can take up the post whenever she likes. But, with her film career, it would be difficult for her to take up a time- consuming job.
Aishwarya's manager has not confirmed the invitation and says her invitations go directly to Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited office.
"I have no idea if she has received an invite, I will have to check with her," says Singh.
Mundhra says he will leave for Germany on July 12 to attend the programme that will be held between July 15 and 17.
The filmmaker plans to speak about his experience while filming Provoked , besides dwelling on domestic violence in NRI families.
"It's a great piece news for me. My films, Provoked and Shoot At Sight, have also received invitations from Norway Film Festival. I want my entire star cast to accompany me for the reputed festival," says Mundhra.
The filmmaker is currently planning to take up his much- hyped film on Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
His earlier attempt to make the film on the politician faced stiff resistance from senior Congress leaders and well- wishers.
"I was asked to wait for the general elections to get over. And now that the Congress has performed exceptionally well, I have all the reasons to pick up the topic again. I hope to get a green signal from the party," he says.
At the moment, Mundhra is busy wrapping up his next film, Apartment . After returning from the Mainz University, the filmmaker will start work on Naughty@ 40 with Govinda.. http://www.intoday.in/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&issueid=&id=26962§ionid=2&secid=12&Itemid=1
