Does Asin Deserve Best Newcomer award?

Hi ppl,

Ok i who there are alot of ppl who like asin(including me) but honestly do you think she deseves the best newcomer award? afterall ghajini wasnt her firs acting stint. She is wayyy more experienced than most newcomers and also since ghajini was just a remake of the tamil version so all she had to do was mouth the same dialogues in hindi with the assistance of the the same cast n crew(Apart fro aamir).

So wat do you guys think?

well she was awesome in ghajini

but i feel bad for ansuhka...as a newcomer she did A FANTASTIC job... =/ so she deserved something

i agree! i mean she was fab in ghajini but its cuz of her other newcomers r gonna lose out..hoestly i thought mugda and anushka deserve to be best newcomer. But who knows in time to ocme asin might get the best actress award in bollywood.

I think Asin's in the right category...it is her debut into Bollywood movies...just like I'd expect a debut nomination for ASh or soemone else if it were Hollywood.

Who else is nominated?

i have to agree... she did quite wonderful and it is her debut IN the bollywood... so technically, in a way, she is a newcomer to bollywood...

everyone had few minuses and pluses but overall, i think it was deserved...

others i believe were anushka, prachi desai, mugdha, and um, i think genelia, even though she has done other hindi movies before jaane tu ya jaane na.... so genelia definitely is not a fair choice...!

I loved Asin in Ghajini, she's part of my favorite actresses right now. But yeah I felt that she wasn't a newcomer so she didn't deserve it but after I read about Mugda's attitude statements towards Asin about winning the newcomer award, I'm happy Asin won that award.

Mugda basically played herself since she even said it was similar to her life story so NO she doesn't deserve the newcomer award either. She has a lot of attitude expressing her anger toward Asin's nomination toward being a newcomer. Just to shut that Mugda's mouth, I'm so happy that Asin won. Besides Mugda's acting was average.

Anushka should've won this award

It was both of their first movies in Bollywood. Their performances should be compared.

Mughda or Shahana deserved it. Sorry Aamir but ghajini was a horrible movie with cheesy acting by everyone and totally ripped off of Memento, I had expected a lot from you. You disappointed me! 👎🏼

oh yeah Shahana deserved the award. But didn't Shahana won an award already for being debuted.... I don't know which award it was but she won the debute award. I'll try to find which award it was, I think it was IIFA or something
