Ram - Laxman, are all preparations complete?
Laxman - Everything is ready, bhaiya.
Ram - Gurudev, if anything is lacking, then please do tell.
Vashishth - We have to decide who will go with the horse?
Laxman - If you permit, then I would like to do this work. What will be greater fortune for me?
Vashishth - Laxman, doubting your strength means doubting oneself. But a king has to go to protect aswamedh yagna's horse. This means that either Maharaj Sri Ram should himself go or some trustworthy king should go.
(Then why did Raghu go with the horse in his father king Dilip's ashwamedh yagna? Some other reason for Shatrughan accompanying the horse should have been given if Sagars wanted to give a reason.)
Sumant - What do you think, maharaj?
Ram - What is there to think about it? Gurudev himself gave the solution. Madhupuri's king Shatrughan will go with the horse.
Hanuman - Prabhu, give me chance on this great occasion. I would also like to go with Shatrughan bhaiya.
Ram - As you wish Hanuman.
Ram goes to the room where Sita's statue is kept.
Ram - Sita, you have always been with me in all of my decisions. Today in the yagna, your presence will give me strength. Wish me Sita that the yagna is successful.
In Valmiki ashram,
Luv - Once Ma's vrat is over, then we will see our father.
Kush - Yes, if Ma has said, then this is what will happen. But how does our father look?
Luv - Do not know, but will he be happy on meeting us?
Kush - Yes. When we show him our divine weapons, then he will be very happy. After that, we will also show our art of warfare.
Luv - Bhaiya, I wish a lot to meet pitaji.
Kush - I also want to meet him and talk to him at length. I want to introduce all rishi-kumars to him.
Luv - But this will not happen until Ma's vrat is complete.
Kush - Why do you worry? We have to wait for only a few days.
Luv - But unless we bring thousand-petaled lotus, how will Ma's vrat be over?
Kush - Oh, I forgot about that. Let us find out where we will get thousand-petaled lotus.
Sita is doing puja
Nani ma - Did you hear? The ahwamedh yagna in Ayodhya is about to start. People have come from far away places to participate in the yagna. People are also saying that Ram's fame will increase further after this yagna. Do you not feel like meeting Sri Ram? I wish a lot to see him.
Sita thinks - I am very happy, swami. Your fame will increase. Everywhere, people will sing your glories. They will be eager to have a glimpse of you. My best wishes are always with you.
In Ayodhya the puja for yagna is going on.
Guruvar yagna-anushthan karein

Vashishth - Ram, now you take the vow of completing the ashwamedh yagna. Repeat after me...
Wih water in the cup of his palms, Ram says as told by Vashishth.
Ram - I, descendent of Ikshwaku and the son of Dashrath, Ram, for the welfare and happiness of the people, decide to do ashwamedh yagna with agni as witness in the presence of friends, relatives and gurus.
Kashi naresh has also arrived.
Ram feels that he saw Sita in the statue.
Pratima mein sakar ho
Siya boli yah baat
Kabhi Janki se prithak
Nahi Janki-nath
Sada-sada hum sath
The time to release the horse arrives.
Vashishth - Ram, now let the ashwamedh yagna's horse be released.
Ram - I, Raghu vanshaj, Dashrath nandan, Ayodhyapati Ramchandra, promise to protect all my people and announce the release of the horse of the ashwamedh yagna, which symbolises dharma, justice and peace.
Ashwamedh yagna ke ashwa ke pichhe

After some distance
Shatrughan - Stop the chariot now. Senapati, tonight we will camp here. Now this horse is under your protection. Let it go wherever it wants.
Senapati - As you wish, maharaj.
Senapati orders his soldiers to go with the horse.
The horse enters into Chakrant nagri. Prince Daman catches it.
A sainkik - Why are you catching this horse?
Daman - It has entered Chakrant nagri. I accept the challenge written on it.
Sainik - But do you know the result?
Daman - I, the son of Chakrant's king Subahu, do not worry about any result.
He forcibly takes away the horse.
The sainik goes to Shatrughan.
Sainik - Maharaj, Chakrant's prince Daman has forcibly caught the horse. He challenged us for war.
Hanuman - How dare he? Order me, Shatru bhaiya. I will crush him with a blow of my gada.
Senapati - You do not need to go, Pavanputra. I will go. I will give such a fitting punishment to prince Daman that nobody again dares to commit such a crime.
Shatrughan - Senapati, we should not take any decision in anger.
Senapati - Maharaj, it looks like you doubt my strength.
Shatrughan - I have no doubt on your strength and ability. But first we should send our messenger to Daman. We should tell him that he should return the horse and participate in the yagna. Our aim is peace. Satyavrat, go to king Subahu and give him my message. Tell him that we expect him to return the horse and assist us in the ashwamedh yagna. If he does not accept our peace-proposal, then he should face us in battle-ground.
In Chakrant-nagri
Subahu - Son, you have proved that you are mighty Subahu's son. By catching Ayodhya's ahwamedh yagna's horse, you have made my head high with pride. Where is that horse?
Daman shows the horse to Subahu. There is a message tied to the horse.
Subahu reads - Whoever dares to catch this horse will have to accept the challenge of fighting war with Ram's army.
(If ashwamedh yagna also caused wars, then why was the idea of rajsuya yagna rejected?)
Subahu - This is the Ram whom people call as Lord Vishnu's incarnation? I will expose his fraud.
Satyavrat arrives.
Satyavrat - Maharaj Shatrughan has given message that prince Daman has challenged us for war by catching the ashwamedh yagna's horse. Still, if you return the horse peacefully and help us in the yagna, then we will forgive prince Daman for this crime.
Subahu - Crime? Fool, crime is for poor, helpless and weak people. For brave men, it is called as courage. Go and tell your king that we will not return the horse at any cost.
Satyavrat - Is this your final decision?
Daman - Yes. Go and tell your king that his yagna will never be complete.
Satyavrat goes.
Daman - Pitaji, allow me to go to the battle-ground. I will return with the enemy's head.
Subahu - Go son and become victorious.
In Shatrughan's camp
Senapati - Maharaj, it was mistake to give him chance for peace. Allow me. I will catch him and bring him here.
Hanuman - What is the need of whole army? I alone am enough. I will punish prince Daman for his rash act.
Shatrughan - Pavanputra, at present, there is no need for you go go. As per the rules of warfare, our army should face prince Daman. Go senapati, may you be victorious.
Precap - Luv and Kush catch the horse and fight with Ram's army. The precap also says that first time Ram meets Luv and Kush.
